A blast was had by all.

Well we made it back in one piece and we had a wonderful time. I'm so glad we went. The weather was cold and rainy in Catalina but the sun and heat made up for that in Ensenada. Ensenada was a blast! The first thing we did is head to Papas and Beer. I had a coupon for 6 Beers and 5 shots for only $20. Legal drinking age in Mexico is 18 so my little sister (the birthday girl) was able to partake of the adult libations which made it even more fun. Next was karaoke at some hole in the wall place that I don't even know the name of and window shopping. The rest of the cruise was spent relaxing by the pool, napping and then light dinners and dancing until the sun came up. Good times!

Well, they accepted another offer on the house. Oh well, I'm sure we will find another house that we love even more and that will need less work. I had no idea how emotionally draining house hunting could be! Its fun but man am I wiped out between the realtor, mortgage company and all the paper work. Maybe some time on the elliptical will help me wind down instead of eating a gallon of ice cream.
Good & Bad news
Mar 08, 2010
I went to see the nutritionist this morning. The good news is that she was really nice and Ill be going to see her monthly for my weigh-ins from now on. The bad news is that since Ive lost 5lbs in the past 2 months Ive disqualified myself for RNY. It really sucks. Ive been kicking my ass trying to loose weight to show that I'm willing to put in the work that's required to make a huge lifestyle change and now as things stand I'm not a candidate. The Nutritionist was really cool and all but said stop losing weight and just maybe they will approve me because of my high BP and cholesterol plus my PCOS. We will see. I really want this surgery and feel its the right decision for me. I knew this journey wasn't going to be without its bumps but its discouraging none the less.

Like clock work

3/3/10
I had my 3rd weigh in today and that means I'm 1/2 way to being ready for my Dr. to turn in all of my paper work so I can be approved for my surgery. Time is flying! I have an appointment to see the nutritionist on Monday and I cant wait. Everything is going like clock work. Life is good. My husband and I are even looking into buying a house! Having only ever been a renter myself I'm so exited I cant see straight! Id love a place to call my own. We have one in mind but the sale is pending and it only has a few days left to go through. I know its selfish but I hope we end up getting in even though that means another family was unable to. Its in the perfect neighborhood and the right school district for my son. Keep your fingers crossed.
