Biggest NSV yet...

Feb 09, 2017

A few weeks ago, I went on my very first cruise ever!  IT WAS AMAZING! A group of us went to on this cruise to Ensenda to celebrate my friend's 50th birthday.  What made this experience even more special is that my friend is also post-op Sleeve and being able to share this with her was more than I could ever ask for - because she understands. We enjoyed things we would have never dreamed of doing before we lost the weight.  We danced and partied for 3 days straight, we shut down the club on board EVERY NIGHT.  We rode ATVs for the first time, in the mountains of Mexico through a vineyard. Fitting through those little doorways and showers comfortably without feeling like you were touching all sides of the room.  We got 21,000+ steps EVERY DAY - without getting tired from walking - including going up and down the stairs.  Being able to go to the little boutique on the ship to buy clothes and know that they will have something to fit you - and not have the fear that people are staring at you like "why are YOU in here?"  Anything they offered - we did!  Last, but certainly not least, wearing a 2 piece swimsuit in public for the first time in our adult life - and OWNING it (we even danced on the little stage by the pool)!!

I am so GRATEFUL for my tool..I can't even put into words how I feel!  I know there are more adventures ahead of me and I intend to embrace every single one.  I had overcame any insecurities that I had about being heavy long before I decided to have surgery and developed some new ones after losing weight.  I never imagined it would be like this!!
