I had a vertical banded gastroplasty in 2002 and lost 65 lbs.  From 300lb. (I can't believe it) It was great but it stalled and I never got it going again and over the years has literally crept back on.  I have battled the last 20lbs. up and down for four years now convincing me I cannot do this on my own.  The only other time I was successful at losing was in 1996 when I was on the Fen/Phen meds through my fam. doc.  I lost the exact same amount of weight as the VBG.  I put it all back on once the meds were discontinued and I had a baby too.  This is the last resort for me again, but I am hopeful for the first time in a long time.  I have read here about a few VBG revisions and I also have a hernia that needs to be repaired as well.  Talked to fam. doc. last month and got a call to see Dr. Debru in May, so I didn't' think that was too bad.  Will see what he says.  Prayers prayers prayers!!!
