UPDATE:
Well i had to get a revision from the Sleeve to the RNY Gastric Bypass 8/24/17. I wasn't ever planing on doing this surgery. I had complications from not realizing the problems I was having was not normal. I ended up with a hiatal hernia, irritated gallbladder, ulcer in stomach, and ugly GERD. It was easier to count the numbers of nights I didn't get sick in the middle of my sleep. This time around I thought i was prepared. Boy was I wrong. The mental aspect has takend me down a dark path. I am in counseling and currently being pro active on issues. The physical part has been pretty good so far. I am back at work but still unable to go full solids for a couple more weeks. I do have to say the shame, guilt, disappointment in myself, and lack of concern for myself has been tough to process. I gained back 80 pounds. I still made some bad choices in men and didn't get my coping skills under control. So I have no choice but to start over. Still single and trying to find myself...
Hi my name is LInda. I am a 40 year old divorced mom of 2 active boys. I am hoping to have the sleeve surgery soon this summer. I never thought I would do this... In the past I was not open to any type of WLS. That changed this year when my knee gave out.. I have had problems in the past with my knee and things only got worse. So 5 weeks of crutches and therapy along with dr visits I decided to go for this surgery. I was skinny in high school but life got insane and the weight came on. I have lost 80 pounds since my ex left (happiness is an amazing thing :)). But cannot seem to get more off and now with my limitations with my knee excersizing is hard to do unless in water. I want to get the old me back who was in shape and active. My kids are everything to me and I want to be around a long time for them and to make great memories. I was originally thinking surgery would be in October due to insurance requirements but recently found out they have changed and now I am looking at August!! I am excited and nervous all in one. Well thats me in a nutshell :)
