Waiting for 50.5 inch hips

Surgery can not come soon enough.

One of the things that prompted me towards surgery was achieving the US size 28 (i.e. Burda size 60).  I love fashion and pretty clothes. I would like to wear them.  I had gotten a Burda plus magazine with the intent of sewing some in my size and discovered that I was too plus for plus!

So I have started sewing some pieces, leaving the hems and waistbands unfinished. I will adjust those when my hips reach the largest burda size (i.e. 52). That is 10 large inches from now.

So my surgery is scheduled for 12/31. I hope I can be wearing this by at least April.  Who knows how it will go.

There are some pics of the skirt in my album. I think it is called Waiting for 50 inch Hips or something like that. I am especially proud of the curve which uses interlacing.
