Ah, yes....control is coming back!

Progress report: I am doing much better with resisting carb cravings so far.  Today is the second day that I've been back "on program," as the surgeons call it. I am faithfully using the LoseIt app on my iPhone to track my calorie intake. It really is easy and handy.

Yesterday I made lettuce wraps for my brunch with light cream cheese, baked ham slice, and redleaf lettuce leaves, plus a bit of salsa.  For lunch I had a protein shake, then for dinner made Eggface's amazing stuffed bell peppers! Oh my goodness they are amazing! My kids gobbled them up, too.  Thankfully, I had doubled the batch.  Even had enough leftover to take some to school for lunch today for myself.  Fabulous. I had another protein shake and a Weight Watchers latte ice cream bar, which is a great treat,too. I did an exercise dvd, so my "net calories" were 1,086 yesterday.

Today I had coffee for breakfast, leftover stuffed bell pepper for lunch, protein bar for a snack, latte ice cream bar,  cheese/almonds, and for dinner, some lima beans (pizza beans). I have not exercised today; walk with friend got cancelled due to her dr. appt, and I came home and let it get dark before I could go out and walk. MAYBE I will do a dvd tonight, but I doubt it.  I'm planning to get up in the morning to walk the neighborhood, as a cold front is going through here tonight, so tomorrow should be nice and cool and less humid.  I can't wait! Anyway, my net calories today are 1,178.

I don't feel deprived or shaky or desperate to eat so far.  Let's see what tomorrow brings! I'm planning to do a weigh-in tomorrow, too. Fingers crossed!
