It is now January 27th 2003 and I am so happy I had this surgery on May 2nd 2002 It is a miracle. I now wearing a size 14/16 but still cannot get passed the 1x and 2x clothes I find myself looking in on the very large sizes, what a wonderful feeling to be able to just pick anything you want on the rack, even shoes are no longer a problem since the feet have narrowed so much.As regards my health which is the primary reason I did the surgery I am now a well woman no more a diabetic or have high blood pressure and to add I recently had my blood work done and all my vitals are up to mark I am not deficient in any areas. I know I made the right decision for my self and am very happy I was blessed with a speedy and safe recovery in the hands of a wonderful proficient DR Oscar Lirio of Schenectady NY, ALLOWING me to a healthy, beautiful and much smaller ME. I have posted an updated picture of myself.......lol.

I saw Cheryl earlier today at the hospital. She is in really good spirits and is doing GREAT so far (minus an annoying itchy toe) for only being one day post-op. She thanks everyone for the prayers and well wishes--apparently it worked! :)

Cheryl, Best wishes for a speedy recovery. I hope all your dreams come true. I'm having WLS with Dr. Lirio on July 11,02. I cannot wait. Take care of yourself.

I just spoke to Cheryl a few moments ago and she said she feels good. Surgery went well (she is in good hands) She was having a little difficulty breathing, but her oxygen levels were good. Please send her well wishes for a speedy recovery.

Cheryl, It was sooooooooo great to hear you voice and to hear that you are doing so well. I still cant' believe how good you sounded. I hope I sound half as alert after my surg as you did. Just think of all the great experiences you have coming to you. See you in chat later. Terri KY
