Stuck

May 13, 2018

so i had surgery August 2017- and so far have lost 50lbs. I  concerned that I’ve lost zero pounds since January 2018. That’s 5 months yo-yoing between 220-225 lbs. my goal is 180lbs. I have incorporated working out 4-5 times a week in a kickboxing class. I’m hoping that helps. I also am recognizing I need to work on my diet and protein intake. I need motivation in that area.

Frustrated

Feb 08, 2018

So, I’m 7 months into my surgery and weight had been slowly coming off. I am now stuck. I drink water and have my daily protein but no change of weight. I’m even working out 4 times a week. What do I do? I’m feeling discouraged. I know that the 45lbs I’ve lost so far is great but I don’t want to stop the momentum and want to make modifications to help me continue on this journey positively.

Weight loss

Aug 22, 2017

So I am at my two week post surgery tomorrow 8/23/17... my loss since surgery and the two weeks prior (on protein shakes) has me down 24lbs. At what rate will the pounds shed off? Should I see pounds shedding weekly?

Ugh protein shakes

Aug 17, 2017

I'm a week into my surgery and on the clear liquids and protein shakes. I'm over the taste of the protein shakes and don't feel fulfilled with the liquids I'm drinking. What should I do?

I am home now and working on keeping up with the clear liquids and protein shakes. Did anyone have difficulty having the necessary amount of protein shakes this first week

12 days till surgery

Jul 28, 2017

Hello! So I've been dealing with being chubby, heavy all my life. At one point I did lose weight through 6 days of three hours at the gym and weight watchers. The weight came off for 2 years but then when I stopped I gained it right back. My purpose back then to work hard and lose the weight was because diabetes and heart disease run in my family and I did not want it. When I regained the weight, my nightmare became true and I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. It's been 3 years since that diagnosis and I have tried real hard to lose the weight but no success. I finally decided I needed some support and went through the 10 month processed required by my insurance to get the Gastric Bypass surgery. My surgeon and endo said that the surgery will help me get off all the pills. I'm excited yet nervous, currently hungry as I prep with the 2 weeks of protein shakes before surgery. I know I need to stick to the plan in order to be successful. Wish me luck!
