5 days since surgery

Surgery was last Thursday and I was told everything went extremely well.  I stayed over the night and was released on Friday.

Some of the syptoms I have been experiencing I am told are normal - I am trying to get an idea how much longer till it ends...

First 24/48 hours I had voimiting issues combined with heavy gas pains,  I couldnt seem to keep any liquids down, even the smallest sips of water were a problem.

And trying to take the anti-gas or nausea meds didnt really work for they came up as soon as I sipped them down...  On day three the vomiting issue seemed better,

however the gas pains continued.  Seemed like every time I sipped water I got this pain in the center chest, it would dicipate in a few seconds but continued

keeping things uncomfortable.  I have been walking every day and that seems to help for sure.  Now on day 5 I still have these terrible gas pains, though less

"powerful" then they were and I am able to sip more liquids and keep them down which I am seeing as a good sign.  I am just wondering how long till the "gas" issue goes away completely?

Other than that I dont seem to have any other pains from the surgery, again a good sign (I hope)...
