Hi Denise
I am glad that you are doing good! I need help with journaling and drinking the fluids I feel like I am not doing as good as I thought!!! I feel like something is stuck in the middle of my chest and I just want to give up because I dont like the feeling at all! I have to say all and all this surgery is amazing but you do have alot to go through! Well keep in touch! Call me I will be home until the 6th of March my home number is 978-441-0180
Well I'm 3 days post op and getting in between 40-50 ounces of liquid a day and it's SO hard. I have no desire to eat or drink anything and every single drop that I swallow - I swear I can feel it hit my pouch and then feel my gut turn on - OMG It sounds like the titanic is sinking in there. I talked to the nurse today and she said any time this weekend when I feel up to it to try some protein drinks. I have no desire but I know I have to try so I'll start off slowly and probably start with adding the protein powder into diluted juice first (I have unflavored).
Hey Denise!.... so are you home? How are you feeling? Are you still on clear liquids, or have you been able to add proteins yet? I'm finding it harder to get the fluids in than I thought I would... And I would LOVE to actually eat food!! But I know in the long run it's going all going to be worth it! Stay in touch...
Michelle
