Lavonda called me Sunday night to let me know she was still in the hospital so I could go see her Monday when I had my pre-op interview. She looks really good, we took a walk and visited for awhile. I believe she has another abscess on her incision line and has urinary tract infection. I just got off the phone with her and it looks like she will be in the hospital a couple of more days. She was laughin and said that if she's still there when I go in Friday for my surgery we can both give the nurses hell! LOLOL.. Pray for Lavonda please, she needs to eat and she says she doesn't feel hungry and won't eat. Prayers and thoughts are appreciated!

I just got off the phone with Lavonda. At the beginning of the week she started noticing a red swollen area underneath her incision which kept getting worse and worse. She finally got in to see the Dr today up in Grinnell and they have admitted her into the hospital today. They did another leak test thinking it was a leak I suppose but as she was leaving for the Dr's office this morning it burst open and stuff started coming out of that area under her incsion. She had an abcess and is a little dehydrated. She will be in the hospital over night and get to go home tomorrow. I'm just so thankful it wasn't another leak!!! She still needs our prayers as she is still healing from her two surgeries.. Thanks for all your prayers..

HELLO I JUST WANTED EVERYONE TO KNOW I AM HOME AND HEALING THANKS FOR ALL YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS THEY HELPED. I HAVE A G-TUBE IN BUT SHOULD HAVE IT REMOVED IN 6 WEEKS. I HOPE I DON'T HAVE ANYMORE SET BACKS IT WAS SCARY BUT I MADE IT. BUT I NEVER ONCE SAID I REGRET HAVING THE SURGERY. I JUST NEED TO LEARN HOW TO GET ALL THESE FLUIDS IN ME AND PROTEIN I'M JUST STILL WEAK AND TIRED. WELL GTG THANKS AGAIN TO ALL OF YOU.

I just spoke to Lavonda and She gets to go home tomorrow. She wanted me to thank all of you for your prayers and support! She's such a strong lady! I told her I'd give her time to get home and settle in tomorrow then give her a call. On behalf of Lavond thanks again for all your prayers and support! Tracie S
