LivLite Surgical Weight Loss Program is a
surgical weight loss program for people who are severely overweight.
Severe
obesity is not a cosmetic problem. Medical science has clearly established
that it is a critical health concern, with statistics demonstrating that
life expectancy is dramatically shorter for people who are seriously overweight.
Additionally, heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, orthopedic problems
and clinical depression is just a few of the conditions associated with
severe obesity. Can you afford these grave health risks?
The LivLite
Surgical Weight Loss Program takes a comprehensive team approach to caring
for you. Your physician, program manager and you will join forces to develop
a program that will help you achieve your weight loss goals. |

I really like Dr Wood I am very confident with choosing him as my surgeon not only has he performed thousands of these operations but he also has his name on the procedure itself!!! Wow now that is reassuring! Dr Wood was very personable and even gave me a hug at the end of the appointment. That was very nice of him and it made me feel safe. I am trusting Dr. WOod with my future, my dream, my life and I have the utmost faith in him. I would strongly reccomend Dr Wood he is fantastic!

My first impression of Dr. stevens was what a nice guy. His bed side manner was impeccable. I would reccomend him to anyone that needs a surgeon in Kansas. His nurse is a wonderful lady. She is so quiet.

My first impression of the dr. is that I thought he would be taller. I was also prepared to wait to see him as I had read he runs late all the time. I did not have to wait to see him at all. In fact, all of my appointments have been timely, so that is a great thing. His office staff knew me by name after the first time. When I have a question, they are very efficient at calling me back with the answer if they do not know it right away. I cannot say there is anything that I like least about the doctor. I want everyone to know that I did tons and tons of reserach over several months to come up with Dr. Nazarian and I feel he is superior in this field. He is extremely cautious in his approach, which makes him all the more successful. He surrounds himself with others who are tops in their field (anesthesiologist (?), cardiologist, pulmninologist (?)). Dr. N was the match I was looking for. I have not heard much about aftercare from the doctor, I assume this will come form Liv-Lite, the program the doctor is affiliated with. There are support groups to be attended. Unfortunately, I would need to travel four hours one way to attend any support group, so I will be looking for one closer to home to attend. Not sure if they let you attend if you had it done with a different dr. Will be looking into it.
I was fully aware of the risks involved. Between the dr. and Rick of the Liv-Lite program, there were no questions unanswered.
Overall, I would rate the doctor highly. I definitely would reccommend him to anyone thinking of have in the surgery done. The only improvement I can say is that, in my case at least, they needed to let me know more in detail what the emotional issue would do to me and be prepared to help in that respect. I felt pretty much alone except for the support of the ObesityHelp.com website. Although, once I did tell the dr., he helped me cure my problem right away. So I guess I would say TELL YOUR DOCTOR EVERYTHING. HE CAN't HELP YOU UNLESS HE KNOWS WHAT IS GOING ON!
Competence in the operating room is by far more important that bedside manner, in my opinion, but Dr. Nazarian has both. He has both mastered. Hope this helps people to make a decision. Thanks!

Dr. Stevens is small in stature. Not intimidating. Dr. Stevens was very up front about the risks of the surgery and that this has to be a life style change. Also stressing that this shouldn't be a decision that one should consider lightly. The two doctors (Dr. Charles Bollman and Dr. Scott Stevens) that do this surgery at Geary County Community Hospital in Junction City KS; are truly dedicated to making the morbid obese person's life longer and more productive. These two doctors were doing this long before others jumped on the money making band wagon. They both show the precise amount of knowledge, care and compassion to make every patient feel like their only patient. I would rate these doctors 20 on a scale of 1-10. I would not intrust my life in the hands of any other doctor('s) for this procedure. I also have to note that Eileen (Dr. Boleman's nurse) and Karla (Dr. Steven's nurse) are awesome as well. I call Karla my angel, she is the earthiest, kindest, most soft spoken, gentlest, giving, beautiful, loving spirit I have ever known. There is nothing she would not do for her patients. I am confident that all will go well with my surgery, because I could not, in my opinion; be in better care anywhere else with anyone else. I know we aren't suppose to rate excellent on everything. But honestly I cannot think of anything negative to say about the doctors or their staff.

Dr. Nazarian is a very kind man. He takes time to discuss every aspect of the surgery including risks and complications. I've been researching surgery for a while but he still taught me something new at the seminar. He is very encouraging and he also thinks highly of his staff, which is so important. His office is in Beverly Hills but several times a year he has seminars in northern CA to see patients for their post-op visits which is just wonderful! He also performs tummy tucks/skin removal and his staff tries to help his patients get insurance approval for it so that it doesn't have to be an out-of-pocket expense for patients after they lose weight. I really don't have anything negative to say. I have to travel to Los Angeles for the surgery at Temple Community Hospital. I live in northern CA unfortunately. But I think it's worth it.

I've had my surgery and he did a beautiful job. My scar is only 3 inches!! Can you believe that!?
Only complaint I have now that I'm post-op is that the nursing staff couldn't get a hold of the doctor in the late evening when I needed a different form of pain medicine. I had to suffer a little during the night but then he is human and he has to sleep too so I got through it.

My first impression of Dr. King was that he's a very educated doctor and really cares about his patients. Dr. King spent a while with me talking about the risk of wls and what would take place during the course of time, before and after surgery. He has a very strict aftercare program. The office staff at his office are awesome! I checked out other doctors in my area, but found that they gave you the tool, but didn't follow up. Although it's roughly a 5 hour drive each way to see Dr. King it has been worth every mile. Thanks to Dr. King and his staff for doing what they do and make their patients feel at home.

I was very impressed with Dr. Nazarian. He was personable, confident and seemed at ease with the whole procedure itself. (He should, I realize, but I mean that he even put ME more at ease.) He explained everything thoroughly and did answer most of my questions, but he seemed a bit hurried--more than I'd expected. Someone somewhere told me (or I read) that this would be an hour-long consultation. It wasn't. It was more like 20 minutes. I will ask the remainder of my questions when I see him again 4 days before the surgery. All in all, though, I feel very good about him as a surgeon and happy with my decision.

He is competent listened to what I had to say. Never once even suggested a different surgery that what I had already decided was right for me.
His office staff are wonderful! ESP> Amy and Latrese :)
Just know that he is super busy!
Don't know to much about the aftercare...he did stress that he wants us to be lifelong patients...
I would rate him mighty high
Both his bedside manner and competence are great

My first impression of Dr. Bollman was that he was a kind, gentle, smart man. That impression has never changed. In fact, over these past several months, I have grown to apperciate and respect him even more. Eileen, his nurse, my biggest cheering sectio and moral support. I don't think I would have had this surgery or done so well had it not been for Dr. Bollman. He is simply the best!
