The staff was excellent and very caring. They were attentive to all needs both physical and mental. The day nurses were fantastic. There was only one staff member that I had difficulty with and when I mentioned it that staff member was not assigned to me again. |

| I initially selected this hospital because it was the closest location to me that offered the DS. Upon further research I soon discovered it has an excellent reputation, and I personally like the small size of the facility. I never felt like a number. I was treated with a very personal touch by everyone; an attribute that can sometimes be lacking in the bigger city medical centers. |

Adirondack Medical Center was as good as the best larger hospitals I know of, such as Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. Don't let the fact that this is only a 100 bed facility scare you away. AMC has earned a fine reputation for quality and from my experience, deservedly so. |

My entire experience was positive. From admitting to pre-op, to nursing care, to dietary to housekeeping, I had excellent care from compassionate people who were friendly, responsive to my needs and who made me feel like I was the only patient in the world. They were excellent about keeping in touch with my family during and immediately after surgery and were right there to assist me through each day and phase of my recovery. Overall, I had an excellent experience at Adirondack Medical Center. |

Is very concerned with patients comfort. The people who are emplyed there are very dedicated and professional. |

The bed was uncomfortable so I slept in a reclining chair most of the time I was there. They were wonderful about doing everything they could to try to make sure that the bariatrics patients have a private room. And they would have allowed my husband to stay with me the whole time I was there if need be. If no private rooms available, I was told that they have a lounge if a spouse/relative wanted to stay. |

| After going to another hospital's informational session and meeting there staff, I knew that they were not right for me. I kept on searching & finally found a caring facility and I knew right away I was going to have my surgery at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, even though it meant a 1 & 1/2hr. drive, in the winter!! |

The Team as a whole was treating me as a person! Not a number, not a fat person.. They knew me by name. And I feel like they ALL really wanted to help me succeed. They are very supportive and encouraging! I thank God I found them!!! |

I have been in other hospitals and the care I recieved from the Dr.s and especially the nurses were excellent. |

I can't say enough about the nurses on the surgical floor. They were there as soon as you called them you didn't have to wait for hrs. for someone to come like in some hospitals. Koodos to all the nursing staff that took care of me It was greatly appriciated. |

| Just to be clear, this review was not for my weight loss surgery yet. I had to have my gall bladder out. I selected this hospital because I am from Saranac Lake and I have been seeing all the doctors at the hospital involved with the Bariatric Center. |

I have stayed at other hospitals in the area and I have to say this was a great experience. It was a good test run I think for my RNY. |

The nursing staff I had was terrific. That alone makes all the difference in the world. I am especially grateful to the recovery nurse, I believe his name is Michael, and to Vern, whom I've known outside of the hospital. I hope that my next stay or the stay of someone I know is the same or better. I will add an update regarding my next hospital stay. |

It was a great experience overall..Dr. Hill is incredible.. He is not only Easy on the Eyes but he is an incredible doctor. He has such a great bedside mannor and a wonderful personality.. He should be applauded...You can tell he enjoys his job.. Thank you so much!!!
Also, I would like to thank Laura, Julia and Paul my nurses.. THEY WERE IMPECABLE all the way around.. They should be commended for all there hard work.. you can tell that they enjoy what they do..Thanks guys for everything!!! |

| I had 2 choices, SUNY Upstate Medical Center or Adirondack Medical Center. I chose Adirondack Medical because of it's reviews, location, post-surgical care, and reviews on the surgeon who performs this surgery. |

My stay at AMC was WONDERFUL! It really was more like a "bed and breakfast" hotel type of stay more than anything. They really do have a wonderful staff of nurses and doctors. I cannot say enough good things about AMC. I HIGHLY recommend Adirondack Medical for this type of surgery. They truely do live up to their mission statement of " Excellent Health Care Close to home". My Care was the best I have ever had and I really appreciate all the help that the nurses gave me during my 4 day stay. Thanks AMC!!!:-) |

I feel Ad. Medical Center is at the top of the list in regards to hospitals in the upstate NY area. I know many people who've had the surgery in Albany and they seem to have many more post op problems than the people I know that had their surgery in Saranac Lake. |

Ad. Medical Center is a small 200 room hospital which seemed more like a Bed and Breakfast than a hospital. The staff was very personable and caring I couldn't have asked for a more caring staff. |

Overall, the staff at the Adironadack Medical Center were GREAT. Though some nurses were better than others, you will find that in any hospital. I would definately reccomend them to anyone considering using their hospital and the Adirondack Surgical Group! |

AMC is a good hospital...sometimes I think the nurses forget that they have patients that need to be checked on but for the most part they are wonderful!!! I would definitely reccommend them to other people who wish to have there operation done there!! |

My surgery was in May of 2004 and I was hospitalized until August 1,2004. I could not ask for any better care than I had been given. I was taken very good care of and if it wasn't for the great doctors and other medical staff, I would not be alive today. I give my thanks to all who helped me. |

For a small hospital located in the Adirondacks this is a great hospital with wonderful doctors and support staff! I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone considering WLS. There are two local hospitals in my area and Adirondact Medical center outweighs one by a mile and is slightly better than the other one. |

I had some difficult moments one evening when my morphine pump went wacko, my tubes etc. got all twisted, and I was in a very painful position. My day nurses were all small and young, but thank God, a hulking male nurse walked into my room at that call. He had me straightened out in no time. There were a few other small issues, but compared to what people who stayed in my other regional hospitals, my stay at Adirondack Medical Center was like a three day visit to a health spa. |

AMC was my home away from home for several months after my Gastric Bypass. The staff was EXCELLENT...They were all so accomodating. They not only pampered me during my stay but my Pekingese, SUKI, and my English Bulldog, MATILDA got spoiled with treats and visiting other patients. I want to send out many thanks to you all.

The admitting process was great. The nurse really eased my fears and I was ready to have the surgery. I was completly satisfied with my Doctor. But I felt my after care was a little shabby and I felt the nurses were not in control of the situation.Also I would wait for about 20 minutes for anyone to answer my call bell when i needed something. When you are in a hospital you are supposed to have complete faith in your nurses and I felt like I had to fend for my self. Their was a few nurses who were great though and I appreciate all they did for me. |
