| I always thought Baylor was a good hospital. I used to work for them and my mother still does. |

Although, the care I received from the nursing staff wasn't that great I think I would still use the hospital again because of the doctors. |

The nursing staff of 14 Roberts were not thoughtful, caring, and they did not provide me excellent patient care. Four days no bath nor clean bed. No assistance with eating or walking for the first time. |

| It is the hospital that my doctor is associated with for bariatric surgery. |

I think Baylor is just a notch better than the others, based on the attentiveness of the nursing staff in my room, and in the OR. In the OR, before I was put under, I could choose music to listen to, and the nurses were singing. It gave me a very comfortable feeling that the people that were going to be assisting with the surgery at least enjoyed their jobs. In the room, the care was excellent. |

I was very pleased with my experience. Pre-admittance was handled with great efficiency, check- in on the day of surgery was also quick. Only "complaint" is that I was asked to come early in case an earlier slot opened up, and it did not, but that was not a biggee. |

I was very impressed with the customer service that the staff in this hospital provided. I am a nurse practitioner and practice in 10 different hospitals in and around Dallas and was very pleased with the quality of care I found at Baylor. |

I had a horrible experience. I know that it is supposed to be wonderful compared to other hospitals in the area, but my experience was so bad, that if I have a choice, I will never go there again. |

I was left in recovery on a stretcher for over 11 hours. My mother sat in my hospital room almost 5 hours waiting for me to be brought up. I had no complications. So, there should have been no reason for me not to have gone to a room. There were also 6 empty beds in the recovery area. So there was also no reason to have left me on a small stretcher for 11 hours! |

I was impressed with the actual hospital but was a bit miffed by disposition of the nurses on staff, they really took their time when called and just was either extremely busy or disgustingly lazy. |

Compared to my closest facility (in Sherman, Tx) it was a 4 star resort ! |

Everyone I came in contact with at Baylor were very professional, courteous, and made me feel like I was the most important patient they had.
I had one particular nurse (3rd Shift) that went above & beyond her normal duties to see to my comfort. She even made sure I got the green popsicles because they were the only ones I liked.
Her first name was Doha, and she made my stay as pleasant as possible! |

I think the nurses need to be better trained in regards to bariatric surgery. The first night my nurse, who I think was from a temp service, tried to give me food with sugar to eat. Thank goodness I had read my information and knew this was a no, no. |

I had the opportunity to go to the Barix Clinics but I preferred a fully staffed hospital in case something wen wrong with surgery. I just trusted Baylor. |

This hospital (I feel) is the best in the DFW area. If I lived close to this hospital, I'd go there for all my medical needs. Other hospitals are good, but not as goods as this one. |

Hospitals are hospitals - you can't go to one to get rest. The staff at Baylor was great. They handled my every need. I really couldn't suggest that they change anything (except allow free parking for patients staying overnight - LOL). |

My surgeon and the assistant surgeon were excellent. Dr. Kuhn who assisted was very compasionate and answered all my questions. However, when it came to the nursing staff there was improvement needed. I noticed the patients who had the nurses who have had the gastric surgery had a execellent outcome, but for those of us who had the other nurses there was a lot lacking. They did not seem to be very compasionate, knowledgable of the procedure and unable to answer question or did not try find answers for you. It took a long while before the nurse came when you called. Thank goodness for the nurse assistants they made up for the RNs. |

The only negatives I really found were that some of the equipment wouldn't work and they had to change batteries a couple of times and forgot to notify my family when I was out of surgery. But otherwise, I was treated well, good accomodations, sensitivity, etc. Definitely recommend. |

The surgery went fine, the problems started when I was in recovery, I was out of surgery around 10:15am but did not get into my room until around 6:30pm, the room was not ready until then and they kept me in recovery until then. Way to long to be in recovery. The recovery room was full and all the patients were moaning from surgery, to be expected, when I was moved into my room I was vomiting, or dry heaving, from the morphine, my first nurse was very rude to my sister and mother, we ended up requesting another nurse. She was very nice. I enede up staying overnite when I was only supposed to be there for day surgery. |
