Overall it was a good experience. Some things the staff dropped the ball on. The 1st night they didn't hook up my Cpap machine like they were suppose to. I felt like a pin cushion, & didn't get much sleep because they couldn't draw blood, it took 4 different people to get some blood. They ran out of pain meds. So I had to wait 2 hours for that. Then when they brought in the food, they did'nt explain anything, about how much or often I was suppose to eat. Good thing I was awake enough to question this. |

The hospital is under construction right now because it is I think 100 years old this year but still very nice. |

Everything about my hospital stay went well except for my encounters with one Nursing Assistant named Sondra on the North 5 floor. She was unbelievely rude and unprofessional to my family and mostly to me. My family did report her to the charge nurse on shift that day and I plan to report her to the Nursing Supervisor over the hospital or to whom ever else I can find to listen whom is above her. You see I work for CHS which is affilated with CMC and I know that I would never ever never treat anyone the way she treated me that day!!! It happened the day after my surgery, and it has continued to upset me since. I hope this matter will be taken care of so that she is not treating others the way she treated me! |

Far exceededd Duke Hospital where I had my first lap-band surgery and even stayed there over night. Mercy was excellent unlike at Duke where their EKG machine was working correctly, their x-ray proceedure post-op was a night-mare, and floor nurses were few and far between. |

I was treated beyond my wildest expertations.The day shift was great. Mirtha and Sondra were the best. They attented to my every need, even if I didn't have any, they found some.
CMC-Mercy are in the renovation stage so, the parking was disturbed but did not interfer with getting in and out of the hospital. |

WONDERFUL--the staff was so friendly and my husband commented that this was the most efficient hospital he had ever experienced. They are way more personal and caring than their sister hospital/Main. Would definitely go there again for my medical needs. Great place and wonderful staff. |

CMC-Mercy is great, the nurses are there for you to help you when ever you need them. The Dr. visit you regularly to make sure you are doing good. I would highly recomend this hospital for wls surgery. |

Carolinas Medical Center has two Mercy hospitals. Mercy Main and Mercy Pineville. I typically for my go to Mercy Pineville for my health needs. My experiences there were so good that I had no problem going to Mercy Main. |

It was a wonderful experience. They have rooms specifically for bariatric patients. The staff is wonderful. |

The staff at this hospital were very amazing. I stayed for 4 days and was only unhappy with one of my nurses. Other than that i was OVERLY satisfied with the care I recieved at CMC-Mercy. |

The Hospital friendliness was excellant but whenever I rang the nurses button they never would come. |

It is average I suppose.I had some issues with the room and they did resolve them.Otherwise ok. |

I had several issues but they were all addressed .They are adding some great features and will be so much better for the next patient coming in to have GBS.I loved Scott my night nurse.He is an angel.Cathy Head and Dr Gersin came in right away .I was impressed by the care they gave me and Dr Gersin does whatever you want him to do as far as your pain goes.That is a great group.I am lucky that I called them but maybe not luck .........but just meant to be.I really enjoyed the fact that my boyfriend could stay with me.Although that chair wasn't too comfortable.He did fine.I was scared about the surgery but when I saw Cathy I was relieved.She is awesome and I can' t say enough about the care that CMC General Surgery gives its patients.It has made this journey go so much better.Good luck to all who are undergoing this great new life. |
