How Selected: This is the hospital my surgeon operates out of.

Comments: This hospital has bariatric beds for their surgery patients and the nursing staff and floor employees were all helpful and compassionate to the patients needs.

Competitors: The hospital is above average. It's very clean, it's become very high tech. The only complaints I have were the room I was in was directly across from the little kitchenette and when the coffee was brewing, I longed for some. And once I was able to use the toilet, I realized it was very low to the floor. I was in the old wing of the hospital.
Comments: The staff was as nice and professional as could be, yet very down to earth and kind. They were all very courteous and friendly as well. I could not have asked for more. Everything was great except I'd wished the bed was wider. It seemed more narrow than an average single bed, but that may have been because I was so filled up with gas from my abdomen being blown up for surgery, that I could barely turn from side to side, The hosptial stay was beyond my expectations.

Comments: The enitre staff was wonderful. I had a great experience with everyone I was in contact with. Because of a bed shortage I was held in the recovery area for an extended period before my bed was available. The entire staff made my stay as comfortable as possibly, they allowed my husband to visit twice so he would be at ease with how I was doing after the procedure which help calm me as well. The floor nurses and staff were very accomidating and supportive. They were always ontime with my pain meds which was wonderful. Even my ex-ray techs were accomidating.

Comments: I had an overall good experience. The only rough point was going down to x-ray for my leak test..the process was a little painful because of the way the x-rays have to be taken..radiology could have understood that a bit more. However the nursing staff as well as my student nurse, were all a great help to me.

How Selected: It's the hospital my surgeon is affiliated with.
Comments: Hospital staff was very supportive, many of them sharing personal stories about friends or relatives who have had wls. Only once was I made to feel uncomfortable, when the day nurse kept asking transportation if she needed help with the stretcher to take me to get my barium x-ray. Other than that one nurse, everyone else was wonderful.
