Competitors: The only other hospital I am familiar with is Mountainside, which is considerably larger. Chilton is a small hospital, but easily met all my needs.
Comments: Hospital was surprisingly good. All nurses & aides were great, although with some there seemed to be a slight language barrier problem. On two occassions they forgot to respond to my call (one for a beeping IV & the other because I needed assistance), but they were not emergencies & they did come on the 2nd call. They were very, very busy when I was there & sometimes I looked like they needed more people working!! Overall, a good experience.

How Selected: Had three prior experiences with this hospital. Closest to my home and also where my surgeon of choice is affiliated.
Competitors: Haven't experienced others first hand.
Comments: I had one day nurse and one night nurse assigned to me. I really liked that it wasn't a rotating bunch of people - just one in the day and one at night, who checked in on me regularly and who knew what to expect in caring for WLS patients. Both nurses happened to be really wonderful, and the night nurse was especially compassionate. I would have liked a little more quiet at times, but it's just the nature of a hospital - too much going on for total quiet. Overall, a great place. Comparitively, it's a fairly small hospital which I really like - a much more personal feeling than some of the larger hospitals.
