I dont know of any around that area but compared to the ones here in Modesto it was night and day. Clovis Com. was excellent. |

The nicest kindest people. Everyone I met was so nice and so helpful. My pain never got out of hand they where always on top of that making sure my pain level never went above a four. |

| I guess it was the hospital that was contracted with UHC or it was my surgeons decision. I wasn't given a choice, so I went with the flow. |

Clovis was conpariable to any other hospital, mind you I've only been in the hospital maybe 3 times since I've been an adult. I've visited family or friends but I've only stayed in the hospital twice before this time. Once in 1980 to give birth (over night) & for 4 days in Chico (Enloe) for my original RNY. |

The first night after recovery was pure hell. I got woke up constantly & the gas pains were unbearable. On the second night it was different, I was left alone most of the night. I really needed additional pain control but didn't get any. The staff was great but more contact after the first night would have been good. It was obvious that as time went on, you had less one-on-one contact with the staff. Luckily I improved & didn't need anymore. The one thing that I noticed, which wasn't really important, but I noticed anyway was the fact that they didn't have any kleenex available or those little garbage bags that get taped to your table/tray. I'm a kleenex person & I was constantly getting up to get a rough paper towel to blow my nose. I also thought the liquid diet they selected was bland, now I know it's supposed to be, but please, lets be creative. We have to eat the same stuff when we get home. If we're sick of it in the hospital how on earth are newbies supposed to eat it at home. Luckily i've been through it before so I knew what to have on hand. I thought the staff itself was great & thought the care they gave me was good. They cut off my pain pump at 5:00 am on the 3rd day with no additional back up pain control available for me & capped off my IV. The doctor gave the ok to release me after a blood test at 2:00 pm & I didn't see or hear from the nurse until about 5:00 or 6:00 pm. Too long of a time to leave a person with cabin fever & no pain meds alone in their tiny little room. I wanted out THEN! |

| I have multiple surgeries in this hospital and I always had a good experience there. The office staff was always nice and professional. |

| My insurance Blue Shield would only approve surgery done at this hospital. |

I didn't like the fact that I had to share a room. I had a very chatty roommate and didn't rest well because of it. |

The hospital was great. They had an entire wing for WLS patients and were experienced at dealing with my condition. The nurses were very attentive to my needs. |

The staff were sooooo!!! WONDERFUL! Mostly. There was the ocasional person who did not like their job but that just happens. |
