Comments: Columbia Hospital for Women has alot of good things going for it. It is a small hospital which makes care a top priority. There are private areas for pre-op testing and questions. There is a private office for admitting procedures. You go into a private room to prep for surgery, answer anesthesia questions, have blood drawn, etc. At no time did I feel my reason for admission was compromised. My privacy was held in confidence and I was very pleased with my treatment at this hospital. All of the caregivers were very helpful with my post-op course. As an R.N. familiar with hospital procedures I can say they did a better job than some of my local hospitals at keeping the patient comfortable. I was overall very pleased with my treatment from beginning to end.
