How Selected: I am retired US Army, and when we relocated to the Sacramento area, it was with this hospital in mind. There are some of the finest medical practioners in the USA stationed in this hospital.
Competitors: The only other local hospital I am familiar with is Mercy, in Carmichael. While I have never had a complaint with Mercy, I felt that Travis would be the best choice for me.
Comments: One of the things I found most helpful during this surgery was their use of a PSA machine, that allowed me to self medicate for pain. Instead of calling for a nurse, and waiting to get pain medication, I had only to push a button and the prescribed dose was delivered through my IV, immediately. This was the most worry-free surgery I ever experienced. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone who has the priviledge of using a Military Treatment Facility.

How Selected: We are statined here at Travis AFB. David Grant is our hospital on base.
Competitors: First rate hospital. I do not like hospitals very much but, DGMC made me feel on the most part comfortable.
Comments: The only complaint I have is more than one of the bloodpressure machines did not work. The nurses in general were very helpful. They have some airman that need more training in their jobs. They were not very professional at all. But, there are a few exceptions.
