| I selected the physician, and this is wher he does his surgeries. |

It was very good, equal to the best hospital in the area, Northside. |

Checking in and getting prepped for the surgery was seamless. The OR staff, specifically Robin were excellent! Also, the floor nurses were wonderful. |

The nursing staff could have been better. The first day and night my nurse was great but it went down from there. My last nurse, Margaret, was just plain mean.
The facilities were excellent. I was given a private room without even asking for it. The surgery staff was amazingly friendly and calming. Overall, it was a good experience with just the day/night floor nurses being not great. I think part of that was that they were overworked and stretched thin. I never had the same nurse twice and I think it would be better if that were more the norm. |

| Competitors: |
DeKalb Medical has two facilities, and both are very modern and well equipped. I would go there anytime and know I am getting the best of care. |

| This was the only hospital my Dr works out of and he was the only one to agree to the gastric bypass. |

Compared to the Gwinnett hospitals this was awful the first time but it was a holiday and i was really huge. |

The staff was insensitive, the bed was never made, my mother had to steal towels. When they had to move me to icu the special bed they had me in weighed a ton and the nurse said there wasn't enough staff to move it and it was too heavy for her. My son and mother moved me to icu and the nurse grabbed the iv from my friend and then ran over it with the wheels and jerked it out of my arm. They also had a port in my neck but forgot it was there so they kept sticking me for blood and the port clogged up. I was actually frightened to go back to this hospital but my next visit was fine. The preop staff and surgeons are great, i think like everywhere the nurses are just overworked, understaffed and underpaid. |
