This hospital from the outside is not so glamourous but the patient wings were beautiful...much like a hotel. |

| My insurance company selected the hospital, it was one that Dr. Barker was affiliated with. His office chose Pine Crest, the insurance co said it wasn't in their network...but it was. |

I enjoyed my stay the staff was helpful, they took care of my needs without me asking. The help you out of bed the 1st time after that you're on your own and I think that's great! Everyone was very helpful, friendly and the place was very clean. |

The surgical suites on the 2nd floor were really nice. Wood floors, flat screen tv, nicer towels and bedding. Completely remodeled floor. All the nurses, LPNS, aides, etc... were very accommodating in my opinion. I really had no problems with the staff. The only complaint I guess I really had was that my family had to help me with my bath the first day as the aide just basically brought in some wet bath wipes and said "if you want to take a bath, here you go." She didn't offer to help me and didn't bring me a clean gown or change my sheets. She later told my family she thought I was leaving. It was in my chart that I would be there a minimum if 2 days and this was the first A.M. after surgery. Oh well, my mother-in-law is a LPN, and she took care of it for me. She got me a gown, changed my bed and gave me a bath as I could not shower yet and I needed help due to the pain. All in all, the staff was really nice, the room was clean, the floor was peaceful (except this poor old guy in the room next to me who could not help coughing all night-not his fault) and it even had a concierge. Very nice. |

The nurses and staff were very helpful and encouraging. They made me feel comfortable there. They would keep track of my walking and liquids and everything. They were fantastic. I don't think I could have asked for a better hospital stay. |

| My Dr's office is right next door to the hospital, and this is where she performs all of her surgeries. |

I stayed in the newly renovated wing of Doctor's Hospital. It was great. The staff, Betty, Beth and few others I don't remember their names, were extremely nice to my husband and I. They catered to my needs as soon as I requested their assistance. The private rooms were very clean and I loved the hardwood floors and the self-playing piano. I am glad I had my surgery at Doctor's Hospital. I know I sound like a commercial, but I really liked the hospital. |

Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I wasn't overly impressed with the discharge nurse and felt that she seemed a little put out at having to deal with me. Not sure why, I didn't have any special requests. I was also upset about the fact that when I woke up from EGD procedure both of my lips had been pinched. Looked like I had botox and have still been sore for 2 days now. |

This is an older small hospital. The flowers from the gift shop died within a few hours being in my room. My husand tried to take the dead flowers back the clerk gave him a hard time. Would not refund his money. Never buy flowers from that gift shop, he got a second set they died same day too. |

It is small, parking is small, it is a older hospital which serves allot of shinning stars (older patients)who fall and yell at night. Or they are so lonely they want someone to come talk to them. Older drivers in the parking lot who might have needed their driving taken away 10 years ago. It was sad to see how most of these shinning stars were with no family at their side. It is sad to see how many people are forgotten as we age. |

I have only stayed overnight in 2 hospitals. The first being Medical City of Dallas and now Doctor's Hospital. I feel they both were about the same. |

Everything was fine with the exception of the noise level. My room was located right next door to the nurses station. Once the morning shift came on it was VERY loud. During the majority of the day all I heard were hammers and drills. Not a very restful place. |

Nurses were very slow in responding to your request. I asked for some ice and water at 10am and got it at 5pm after 4 times of asking. Dr came to release me at 5:30pm and nurses finally checked me out at 10pm. Slow slow slow!! |

| Actually, I ended up in this hospital because of the Dr. that I chose. Had the decision been reversed, Doctor's Hosp. would not have been my first choice, but I am VERY glad I ended up there!! |

They were absolutely outstanding from pre-op testing all the way through discharge. My husband has cancer so we are always in and out of various hospitals and I would have to say that this beats them ALL......Baylor, Presby, LakePointe.....hands down |

I was beyond impressed. I did pre-admission education and testing with the Bariatric Coordinator, then the day I arrived for my surgery, I did not so much as have to show them my insurance card. They had all of the info ready. I went to my holding tank where they allowed family and friends back without restriction....as long as we didn't disturb anyone else. Then on to surgery and recovery. Once on the floor, you couldn't ask for a more attentive team. I did not have to wait more than 2 minutes anytime that I called them. |

I'm still alive, at least. I don't know if I'd be alive if I had been a patient at my local hospital. Still, I wonder if I would have been struck so ill if I had been at a hospital like Baylor. |

The ICU staff was wonderful for the most part. What I remember of being there was excellent. Staying in a general room wasn't that great, though, I called the nurse on the call button a few times, got a verbal response, but was never actually attended to. Basically, they'd say, "How can I help you?" but they never showed up to help me. Both instances were not too important, but it is obvious that a patient better not need help at 7pm (shift change), because they won't get it. |

Overall, its average. I was expecting it to be a little better because its a smaller and more specialized hospital, so I thought. |

The staff that I came across was familiar with surgery, but not WLS. My bandage should have been removed 1 day post op, according to the Dr, but this wasnt done. The waiting time to get a call light answered wasnt very good and NOT one person offered to help me bathe or anything of that nature. Now, Im a nurse and I might be a little more picky about care because I have 10 years of hospital and patient care, but they could have done better. |

Good care, however, I will say the IV morphine pump was not delivering the doses no matter what they said, I think they should have simply replaced the machine if the patient (ME) thought it was malfunctioning the entire 3 days. It was taken off the next day because I complained about it delivering 8 of 32 possible doses while I punched the devil out of it -otherwise, , the floor was clean........ |

I have stayed at other hospitals this was a nice little hospital but some of the nursing staff and tech's were not friendly and didn't really seem interested in helping the patients. |

I had 3 nurses that were really excellent however the other nurses and Tech's really ruined it for the 3 that did a great job. There was one nurse in particular that was rude and very uncaring. She just didn't seem to care about the patients. However you will get that at any hospital you go to. |

I am not familiar with other hospitals but the staff was superb. Rooms are on the small size but it is quiet, clean and well equipped. |

I am still amazed at the care I received. The nurses and techs are incredible. Attentive to needs, supportive and quick to respond. Some of the staff has had the procedure and understand what patients are going through. Highly recommend this facility. |

| I work for the company that owns this hospital. Due to insurance restrictions, I had to have my surgery at one of our hospitals in order for the insurance to pay the maximum amount. This is also the hospital where my surgeon of choice operates, even though it is the furthest from my home. |

I was extremely impressed with the care that I received at this hospital. In comparison to the care that I have received at other hospitals in Dallas, this was by far my best experience |

The staff at the hospital was great. They took excellent care of me. The only complaint that I had was the bed was not the best in the world. |

| I really didn't select Doctors Hospital... that's just where my surgeon does surgery. I had no qualms about going there for my surgery, though... I'd been a patient at Doctors before and had a good experience. |

I found Doctors Hospital to be as good or better than any hospital I've been in before. The staff were friendly, helpful and seemed genuinely concerned about my welfare and comfort. They also seemed to get along well with each other and work well together. |

The staff was wonderful and accomidating. I had a 2 hour delay going into surgery and they were real good about lettting my family stay with me. The only complaint I have, I was sitting on the potty chair and the cleaning man came into to buff the floor, he never knocked on the door, made any indication that I existed in the room. I just thought that was rude and very much an invasion of my privacy |
