Overall Value: Poor Oversized Equipped: Average Oversized Sensitive: Average
Multi Security: Average Privacy: Very Poor Pain Medication: Poor
Quiet: Very Poor Visiting: Good Staff Responsive: Very Poor
Parking: Average
How Selected: It is the closest to my home, and I liked the surgeon.
Competitors: Its reputation is far greater than its service and patient care. It is pitifully understaffed, worse than most around here.
Comments: Having surgery Friday, the week-end crew was awful. I waited hours for any assistance, and had to argue with the nurse for 2 hrs after surgery to convince her the pump was broken. If you have someone with you at all time, you can feel safe.

How Selected: The surgeon that did my surgery practices there.
Competitors: It's reputation exceeds what it can actually produce.
Comments: My RN staff was very thoughtful and caring without exception. The Patient Care Technicians, housekeeping personnel and other ancillary staff were horrible. Slow to respond and often insolent when any questions or problems arose. I hope I do not have to be hospitalized there again for any length of time. I receive a much better level of care at my local hospital.

How Selected: This is the only hospital Dr. Grant does surgery at.
Competitors: It is a very good teaching hospital. Of course it means dealing with medical students, interns, and residents who provide the day to day care. It is probably the best in NC.
Comments: I had excellent nursing care most of the time.
