| This is the hospital that my surgeon works out of. |

I've had hospital stays at University Medical Center and Kenner Regional. I've also frequently visited St. Charles General and Memorial Medical Center--corresponding with staff regarding the care of my mother. Although I wouldn't rate my stay as good as it was at Kenner Regional, East Jefferson beats out the rest in atmosphere and pleasantries. |

The hospital wing I was placed in was very clean looking and had no horrific smells in the hallways. The room was beautiful, with wood paneling on the floors and some of the walls, cable T.V., adjustable lighting with dimmers, private shower, and a large sofa/loveseat type thing in the room for visitors. The wood tile on the floor made you think about a room at someone's house rather than a room in the hospital--and it wasn't freezing when you walked on it. The air-conditioning was controled by an in-room thermostat rather than a wing-vent system or a floor airconditioning unit by the window, so you were able to control the rate of flow as well as the temperature of the air around you. Let's just say it felt more like a mini-vacation than a hospital stay! |

| This is the hospital my surgeon primarily uses and is not far from my home. |

Mostly better. There are some private hospitals that are much more swank, but I think the care is comparable. |

Extremely pleased with the lady in the insurance dept. Most of nurses not equipped to handle large people. But one male nurse was excellent. |
