Overall Value: Very Poor Oversized Equipped: Average Oversized Sensitive: Poor
Multi Security: Average Privacy: Average Pain Medication: N/A
Parking: Very Poor
How Selected: I chose not to have surgery here because my insurance will not cover it, the moment they found this out they did not want to even talk to me untill i came up with $12,000 down - they they could talk to me. But then it could be upwards of $100,000 If i had to spend anytime in ICU which was very likely because i am "much larger than their usual patients" WTF!!!
Competitors: It was nice and clean as a hospital should be - just like all the other hospitals i have been in nothing special.
Comments: if you can afford it or if your insurance will cover WLS the hospital has a great program called New U - just don't listen to their generic "we will help financially" crap!

Overall Value: Average Oversized Equipped: Average Oversized Sensitive: Good
Multi Security: Good Privacy: Good Pain Medication: Very Poor
Quiet: Poor Visiting: N/A Staff Responsive: Average
How Selected: Surgeon's choice
Competitors: Not familiar with other hospitals
Comments: I told someone my first day there that I was glad that I wasn't unconscious, because I really felt that I had to stay on top of the staff to keep track of things. I was in terrible pain the first day and had to beg for medication--not fun.

How Selected: At the time it was the only hospital in Idaho Falls. I wanted to be in town
Competitors: There is another hospital in town, I wish it had been an option at that time.
Comments: The Nurses where wonderful, I had a couple who had had the surgery themselves. They were very caring and very firm about getting me up and moving. That I will always be greatful for!
