Competitors: The reputation Einstein has is extraordinary however since they came under the Montifiore umbrella thier nursing staff has severly suffered.
Comments: The attention I received from the medical doctors was great. I had a severe issue with the treatment from the general staff at the nursing stations. Since I had Open RNY I had a large incision compounded by a gall bladder surgery. Needless to say I cound not stretch to reach to take care of my daily bodily functions. The staff seemed to have a problem helping us go to the bathroom and washing up. I personally have never seen such a lack of aide from the nurses in a hospital. Even the aide on my first day of alertness bought me a basin and told me to wash up. When I expressed having trouble in doing so, she said I neede to try and asked what was I going to do when I got home. That was uncalled for and unnecessary. Einstein is not what it used to be in its post op and floor care even though their doctors are excellent.
