Competitors: Initially, i thought this was the best hospital in Atlanta. Now I would not take my dog to this hospital!
Comments: Nurses could care less. Only 2 nurses on the entire floor at night. No help getting in and out of bed. i never say anyone clean the room in 8 days.

How Selected: I was told by several people that Emory is one of the best hospitals in Atlanta. This combined with the fact that this is where the surgeon that I researched and chose practices, made the decision an easy one.
Competitors: I have had only one other experience with hospitalization (at North Fulton Hospital), and both of them were very good.
Comments: I had no bad experiences at this hospital. The doctors and nurses were wonderful. The parking is great. You have the choice of the parking deck and Valet. I would highly recommend Emory.

How Selected: Refered to this Hospital when treatment failed at Rockdale Hospital - I had been admited in Kidney Failure
Competitors: On par with other local hospitals
Comments: The hospital ordered special a special bariatric bed to help in my care. During my stay, I had several falls and was unable to get up off the ground without assistance - they had no equipment to help in such a situation - I managed to get my self up with the end of the tilting bariatric bed. One of the staff/students/researchers - not sure which - this is a teaching hospital - treated me very badly and it seemed to do with my weight. The Doctors there however, gave excellent care. and I would recomend any of them again.

How Selected: Doctor practiced and operated at this location
Competitors: I would not recommend Emory University to anyone. it was not clean and the rooms amenities were either broken or missing.
Comments: Emory needs a lot of work in the basic care issues of its patients. The beds were atrocious. The rooms were not clean. The rooms also failed to provide basic necessities for the patient and her caretaker. Some of the nursing staff would not even respond to a call.
