| Dr. Waggoner was recommended by my Endorcinologist and he practices at North Cypress. |

They have a special Bariatric Center to cover all areas. Pre op to post op. Helped me get thru the insurance nightmare painlessly! |

Very clean, modern and has a wonderful Bariatric Deparment. All steps of the process are covered, from the Bariatric Coordinator, nutionist, exercize program at a VERY reasonable rate , support group meetings and general helps!. Kind, helpful and patient. |

The only criticism I have is that they gave me NO
information or instruction about the food trays. The bariatric coordinator was out of town the day of my surgery, and no one took her place. Her discharge instruction were confusing. She was clearly unprepared for a patient having a VSG. |

quite possibly the worse one I have ever stayed in. |

I had two stays, one in 1999 and one in 2001 and both times were riddled with issues from trouble getting a private room to members of the nursing staff having a personal agenda regarding pain medication. |

The nurses & professional staff were great; however, the general staff was not very responsive. I was pretty out of it due to the pain meds, but I'm pretty sure my sheets were never changed while I was there. |

I have been in several hospitals for various things, and would rate this hospital the best. |

The staff was sensitive and caring. All the obesity surgical patients have private rooms with oversized recliners as well as bars over the beds to help with getting in and out of bed. I don't know of any others in my area that is as accommodating. But, I think this hospital was the best. |

I liked it a little less than I did Conroe Regional. It was further from home and the nursing staff wasn't always attentive as I would have liked them to be. |

Althought I feel the management staff was excellent, the staff at the nursing level was horrible. The call button didnt work, and I had a very hard time reaching my nurse. I even had to wait so long once for help in the bathroom that my legs fell asleep. They called my nurse to the wrong room, and seemed to have trouble calling my nurse period. I would advise to have a family member stay with you during your recovery to ensure that your needs be met. |

they did not let me choose what flavor broth I wanted I got same"chicken"every nite and same jello "orange" everyday.
Broth was weak and nasty.A nice nurse "Ashely" made me some beef broth. |

Its comparable. I work for a competing hospital and had my worries about going to another hospital, but they were soon put to rest. The staff was awesome. |

My one complaint had to do with the PCA <pain med machines> I went through three before finding one that didnt malfunction <I wasnt getting the meds>. Then after being taken off the machine, it was difficult for the nurse to get pharmacy to stock liquid tylenol and ibuprofen. Theres nothing more disgusting than having to take crushed meds. ACK! The bariatric coordinator took care of this problem however by having the pharmacy increase the par levels in the pyxis. WHEW!! |

It is rated aas one of the nations top 100, I can understand why. |

Everything was as good and even better than could be expected. Everyone that I came into contact with seemed to have the heads up on everything related to this surgery. I believe that Alot of that has to do with the Bariatric Coor., Sharla. She is so wonderful! She is with you every step of the way and is a great patients advocate. She is constantly on her toes making sure you and your family are ok. Overall is was the best hospital experience I have ever had, and I have been in alot hospitals in my life.

This Hospital was horrible compared to other hospitals that I have stayed at. |

The pre-surgery nurse waited until the last min. to get me ready and when she was trying to put my iv in she could'nt find the vein so she was digging around and other nurses were offering to do it and she would'nt let them. I had no time with my family before surgery just hi and by. After surgery the nurse that I was given had never worked with a beriatric patient before, so she never hooked up my ng tube and every time I would move I was gagging on the stuff in my tummy. She also never turned on the antibiotic drip for my iv. It took the second shift nurse to figure out what was going on. |

A few nurses were bad, but I was also very much in pain and not very pleasant either. For the most part, the rest of the nursing staff was great! They were very helpful and kind to me. |

The right hand doesn't always know what the left hand is doing. One person tells you you're going to get a private room, and you end up in a ward with three other people. That was awful. The dietary people sent the wrong types of food, which was also a bit annoying. Overall, though, this hospital is pretty average in comparison to others I've been in. |

| I reviewed local hospitals on this website. After seeing some scathing reviews on other local hospitals, I noticed that this hospital had good reviews. My mother had also been in this hospital atfor breast cancer and I was impressed with her care. Actually, I decided I wanted this hospital and then looked for surgeons who used it. |

| It is a well recommended hospital and I have had family members there plus friends there. Dr. Leggetts office is across the street so he was close by. |

The staff was very caring, the intensive care (I had complications not caused by doctor but my unhealthy lifestyle before surgery) kept me calm when I woke up tied down with tube down my throat. They had a special bed to accomidate my immense size and I was wheeled to testing whenever I had to go for x-rays and such. They were the best. |

in general, this hospital is above average in many areas, but like in anything in life, there are good and bad things about it. i know about the bad things because i work there. but if i didnt, as a pt. i wouldnt know whats going on. |

I would have preferred to be in the Medical Center of Houston. However, the overall hospital and its staff were very good. |

The nurse that I had while in intesive care was phenomenal. I paid extra to get a private room. Which I received after being released from ICU. It was a nice hospital. |
