How Selected: This is the hospital Dr Borland does the surgery at. My sister lives in New Iberia, and warned DO NOT use Dautrieve. I live in Lafayette, but Dr Borland is in New Iberia...
Competitors: Excellent compared to Lafayette's Lourdes and General (ANY Hospital is better than Lafayette General). I live only a couple of miles from SW Medical in Lafayette, but Dr Borland is in New Iberia...
Comments: The mattresses have plastic covers. The only thing between the patient and the mattress is a thin sheet. This makes the bed far too hot for anyone's comfort. They have better than average emergency room proceedures, but they are still LOUSY! I spent 3 hours there with an infection, and left because I did not receive ANY treatment. I also had to bring my own CPAP machine. Other hospitals provide this equipment--my machine is bulky, and my mom had to figure out herself how to dismantle it and put it back together. I don't think the hospital personnel knew how. It was a new unneeded worry on my and my mom's part.
