How Selected: This was the hospital that my doctor suggested
Competitors: I haven't been in many hospitals but I know that Integris Baptist has a great overall reputation
Comments: Honestly, I would rather have had the opperation and then go home with medication. I was only in for 23 hours, but I think it would have been more restful in my own bed. I had a room right next to the nurses' station so it was kind of noisy. Plus, you know how they have to be in and out to check you.

How Selected: My surgeon, Dr. Russell Gornichec, is with Integris Baptist and insurance approved my surgery through him - so that is the hospital that I used.
Competitors: My experience with Integris Baptist was a million times better experience than any of the Tulsa hopsitals that I have stayed at.
Comments: The nursing staff that I had after my surgery were the best of the best. I could not have asked for better. Anytime that I needed anything - they were very prompt in helping. I give them 100% praise!

How Selected: It was selected by Dr.Jett
Competitors: Never stayed in a local hospital.
Comments: It started off with a phone call from the hospital telling me to check in at building D, at the surgery desk, well that was wrong, had to go to emergency room building, was told at the desk to check in at the end of the hall in patients checkin, done that. Sit there for 1 hour..told the volunteers that I had been sitting there a long time, they told me it will be alittle bit longer. I finally called Dr.Jetts office and told them I had been waiting all that time, they then said that the hospital had not even checked me in yet ,and that I was directed to the wrong place AGAIN! so I had to hurry and go to admissions. Admissions said they were sorry for the mix up, then had to get X-rays. The technition took the x-rays and told me to have a seat and he would tell me if I needed to have them redone. I sit there for 20 minutes and then the nurse came and found me and said that he must of forgot about me and to come and get ready for surgery. I was left hanging all over that hospital, they need to get their act together!!!

How Selected: This was the hospital my surgeon did his surgeries at. I had very little say in it.
Competitors: The hospital was nice. Very modern and clean. The staff was very attentive. My room was not private and with the other patient there and the equipment, it was very cramped for the staff and my visitors. It was easy to get to the hospital and park and not too far a walk. Individual TV's with cable for each patient made a big difference too. Only other complaint was an initial lack of large gowns.
Comments: Integris Baptist is a modern, well equipped hospital. Staff is great and hotels and airport is only 10 minutes away or less.
