In my opinion Jacksons is one of the best around, I had both of my girls at Jacksons and all my surgeries and my stay each time on a scale of 1 to 10 was definately a 8 or 9. Overall everything was great. |

Don't know about the local hospitals. I have never been to one there before. But it was very comparable to my hospital in my hometown. |

The staff was amazing! Some of the nurses were pre-op or post-op themselves and we just had a great time fellowshipping together, as well as the care they gave was excellent. :) |

I have HEARD that it has gotten much better since I was there, I hope so. It was sad to have such a FANTASTIC surgeon who really cares and is very knowledgable of our needs, and then have to use a hospital who brought me a Sprite on my postop food tray! I sincerely hope the hospital has become more educated in the needs of wls patients since me. |

I think this hospital could use some orginization. The staff and nurses for the most part were very supportive and caring. I would like to give a special thanks to Nurse Francis (male nurse), he seemed to always give that little extra in caring for me. |

Jackson Hospital was horrible but I don't know how the other hospitals in the area are since this is the only one I have been to. |

Jackson Hospital was horrible! The nurses did not want to help me at all and when I asked for something they had horrible attitudes! I would even have to buzz 2,3 and 4 times for pain medications and had to beg for spit baths! It was a horrible expereince. |

The hospital was clean and the nurses took care of my every need, if you could find one. It was obvious they were short handed but each and every one was very kind to me and my family. |

I think Dr. Cooks patients are normally housed on 6 west, the nurses I had were great to talk to and were competent in their abilities. It was really quiet on the 6th floor except for some kind of vaccum system for transporting blood and stuff, it was loud, sounds like a lot of bumping. Which for me was annoying, but I am easily irritated anyway, so don't hold my comments as normal. |

I'm not sure. What I'm hearing is that all of our hospitals in my area are understaffed. |

I feel that it is very important to have family or friends with during your hospital stay to help you get around. The first time I was alone and needed help to the restroom I rang for help and got an intercom response. However, no one ever came to help me. It was a real struggle getting out of bed by myself. I checked in on Monday and the trash can was only emptied once while I was there (I checked out Thursday). Family changed bed linens or they would not have been changed. Also, I paid all my deductibles and private room charges when I checked out of the hospital. The hospital called the next day to inform me that the credited my account and that they needed to debit the account twice to offset. To my horror after calling the bank, the hospital never credited the account. BUT they did debit my account twice. Hopefully, they will straighten this out very soon. I was fortunate that my best friend who is a RN stayed with me at the hospital. She was shocked at the service. I have to say that there were serveral excellent nurses during my stay. I don't think the nurses are at fault. |

The nursing staff compared to the other hospital was in was terrible. Maybe b/c the last time I was on the cardio wing. The nurses were awful at Jackson. I had one good nurse. |

| This is were sleep center was and where md office was. I am sevely limited in ambulating and use a walker. The parking was horrible and the staff did not even request a wheelchair for me when they saw my difficulty and did not explain how far I had to go. There is prime parking spaces for custumers of the bank that is there. |

I only went for a repeat sleep study and the md visit. I do not know how they would respnd if I had surgery there. The security guard was not helpful, he directed me to the furtherest paking lot saying he would send a van to pick me up in a little while ( how long is a little while) I asked about the closer parking lot and he said the van hardly ever went there. |

I will have to say I've had better hospital stays...I was "never offered" a bath. My husband bathed me. My bed was changed 1 time in 5 days, with my husbands help the 1 time it was done. Guess I should say one time in 3 days and not count the 1st day and the day I left. When I developed some problems and had to have some x-rays done the staff in r-ray department acted like it was an imposition to be called in. Physical therapy was a joke as far as I'm concerned. They were no help at all.I will give everyone the benefit of the doubt as my stay was during Thanksgiving holidays. However thats not really a good excuse... I am a retired nurse,(RN),so I know how the system works...All in all, I had one nurse on the 2nd shift that acted like they knew what they were doing and provided nursing care in the manner required. I was in luck because she works 7 on and 7 off. She was a gem... |

I would recommend Jackson's to anyone. It is very modern, clean, and I was very pleased with my overall stay. |

| It was close to my husbands office so if I needed him he could come right away. |

Some of the nusrsing staff could have been a little more caring. I had a night nurse that was wonderful. |
