| How Selected:
| My friend had her surgery there and she was very satisfied. She gave it rave reviews. I have decided to have mine there because they have a special floor for weight loss patients, and special equipment and the nurses treated my friend with dignity and respect. I like the regiment that they put my friend on after surgery and walked her through everything. |

| I researched all the surgeons and all the hospitals before my surgery. I was given a list of them from my caseworker. |

| Through research of hospitals and doctors in this area. Dr. Lindsay was the best of my research. |

Although my surgery did not go as well as expected, and I had to have a second surgery and I spent 59 days in hospital, I would still highly recommend Johnson Memorial in Franklin to anyone wishing to have this surgery. Of the dozens of staff members I had during this 59 days, I only incountered 2 that were not to my liking, my opinion only. |

Johnson Memorial is now the only hospital I'll go to. My care could not have been better. The nursing staff, the bariatric coordinator and the entire bariatric program is fantastic. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to have WLS. |

Better than most, they were remodling and updating most areas while I was there. |

The hospital is a teaching hospital. I had student nurses taking care of me and they were wonderful! I hope they remain as caring and helpful as they were then. The other staff members were great too, I just had one person who irritated me. He is the one who makes you breathe in the little air tube thingy to keep you from getting pnuemonia(what ever it's called?. He just had a particular way he wanted it done. The other two shifts were great. They made sure you did your excersize but the didn't get aggrivated because you did it slowly or differently. He just seemed to always be hurried and you were making him late or something. I don't know, but other than that my stay was uneventful and restful. I would recommend this hospital for WLS |

Much more personable - genuine smiles and caring from the staff. |

They have made a great start in making the hospital accomadating to large sized people. The gowns are large sized and actually wrapped around and over! I would really like to see them have armless chairs or wider chairs in their waiting rooms, ie radiology. Also the changing room in radiology was so small I could barely shut the door. The bathroom when you are waiting to go into surgery is also very small and difficult to maneuver in. |

I wish we had hospitals as good as Johnson Memorial Hospital at home. The staff is what made this hospital one of the best. They were very knowledgable, helpful and kind. The nursing staff were there for any question or suggestions to help. I have never had such staff to my knowledge before. |

This is the only hospital I have been in that was atune to the obesity patient. The nurses were excellent (some even had WLS themselves). No one looked down on you because you were so big. Every department was very helpful and kind. |

I think overall it was very good. The people that work there was nice and friendly. They explained procedures in detail before they preformed them. |

If I had to do it all over again. I would pick this hospital. It might not be as big as some hospitals. However, the staff was great. They are sensative to the overweight person's needs. They had large gowns, and large wheelchairs on hand too. |

I work for a hospital and as a pre-op patient I would've said it was comparable. As a post-op, after spending four days there, many problems stood out. |

So far I've only had my pre-ops and nutrition consult there. My only issue with this hospital was with the pre-admission testing department. As it turned out, I had too high a Hemoglobin A1C (I'm diabetic) and could not have surgery. The PAT dept was supposed to call me to notify me of this and they did not. I ended up "finding out through the grapevine" that my surgery had been cancelled and it was a devastating way to learn this news! During my surgical stay, I noticed many things that should've been done differently. For example, for my entire four day stay, no one from Housekeeping ever cleaned my room. At times it would take 20 minutes for my call light to be answered, and as I'd had my PCA pump taken out prematurely, the pain meds were really important. Once it took a nurse an hour and a half to bring me a portable O2 tank so that my husband could walk me in the halls. All in all, I'd stay there again but I would be more vocal when I saw these things I've mentioned occurring! |

| The Hospital is less than 5 minutes from my home. I worked there previously for 11 years. I have had a few friends have Dr. Lindsay perform the surgery for them. It has been very successful for them. |

Johnson Memorial is a small hospital. There have been several of the nurses and staff that have had the RNY perform by Dr. Lindsay. It was nice to be able to talk with them while I was in the hospital. Two of them were assigned to my floor while I was there. |

Johnson Memorial is very small, but well staffed. I did not have to wait for anything. There was only one night that I feel the personal care was not as good as the rest. Little things like my ice bucket and ice water did not get freshened all night. The rest of the time I did not have to ask for anything. |

| I selected the hospital because it is where my surgeon practices. I had heard many positive comments about Dr. Lindsay and this is where her office is located. |

My stay at Johnson Memorial was much more enjoyable than hospital stays that I have had at Columbus Regional. |

Overall I had a positive experience at Johnson Memorial. The nursing staff was attentive to my needs, my room was clean, and I had plenty of privacy. My visitors were never made to feel uncomfortable by any member of the staff. My only complaint was the noise level during my stay. At the time they were remodeling the room next to mine. They were chipping up the tile and replacing it with linoleum. I'm sure that the noise level is normally fine, but I just happened to be there during the remodel. I really felt I had excellent care overall during my 4 day stay. |
