| This is the hospital that I have selected through my HMO. I have had no problems with them ever in accomodating me. The staff is professional and caring all my needs were met and my questions answered. |

I would choose Palos Hospital for any future medical needs. |

I was very dissatisified with the NURSING ASSISTANTS at Little Company. The RN's were wonderful! I think that they are over worked by having onloy 1 RN for an entire wing.... But the patient care assistants were the worse I have ever had the opportunity to be helped ( more likely NOT HELPED) by. They took forever to answer a call light. I needed to use a potty chair, because the person who shared I shared the toilet with was ALWAYS in there throwing up. I didn;t mind using the chair, but the little urine cap never got emptied. I had to call 3-4 times to get it emptied, and even if they didn't come, I couldn't get into the chared toilet room.
When I asked for some help to get dressed or cleaned up, I was told on more than one occasion to
'wait until your husband gets here to help you'. Even when it was time to go home, the nursing assistant told me that my husband could help me get dressed and bag up my other stuff. I will be putting this infor on the questionaire that was sent to me also, BUT for all the SELLING of the great care the nursing staff was going to give... I'll just say... I have had better, and I would not reccommend LCoM to anyone just based on its level of patient care. |

This hospital was VERY clean and everyone was VERY friendly. I had too many laughs to be a surgery patient -- I had the "hyena" thing going on. It was a great experience and I will miss my docs and Nurses. |

So far, I like what I have seen when I have gone to LCM for meetings and for tests. The hospital looks modern and up-to-date. It is very clean, aesthetically pleasing and conveniently located.

I would say that this hospital was better than any other hospital that I have stayed in. I have been in a lot of hospitals before and this one treated me like a person regardless of my size. |

The nursing staff was wonderful. I have never been in a hospital where the nurses and the nurses aides are so wonderful and attentive. I didn't have to wait long for anything and all my needs were attended to quickly and professionally. I did have some complications during my stay last October 2003 but everything was handled quickly. I would highly recommend this hospital to others. |

Overall this hospital is comparable to the other hospitals that I have stayed in with other medical procedures. |

I felt that LCM was has a very good program for WLS and would recommend this hospital to other looking into this surgery. They were very attentive and even allowed my daughter to visit even thought she is only 8 and way under the age of viviting children. The only complaint that I could think about is that fact that the emergency room was right below my window and it was very loud. There was also a woman on our floor that wanted to leave the hospital at 2 a.m. and cause quite a disturbance. This along with it being Halloween night and it sounding like a party in the ER parking lot with a bunch of drunks was a little unnerving. I did volunteer to have a little talk with the pain in the butt patient that was causing all the noise on our floor. The nurse unfortunely decline my offer. Other than the one night with all the noise my stay at LCM was very uneventful and pleasant. |

The hospital was excellent.Donna and Mary are EXCELLENT..and I guess Doctor Cahill too...Sike He's AWESOME...he never lied to me,he was very real, and referred me to a ps that is also great. When I was in the hospital the nurses bended to my every wish including switching my feet pumps to the other end of the bed so I could be more comfortable, then switching them back AFTER I felt that it was worse lol. The nurses never grumbled or sighed. |

the only thing i didnt like was the new admitting procedure....its horrible, confusing and the room is too small, you feel like youre playing bingo and the staff didnt seem comfortable with it. |

| LCMH is the hospital where Dr. Cahill is located at. LCMH is very close to my home, however we never used this hospital. I rate them a 10+ |

LCMH was wonderful. Very attentive, friendly and smart nurses that are'nt "burnt-out" The only other hospital experience I can compare too was the hospital which I had my babies, and after my experience at LCMH, I don't think I will go anywhere but LCMH. BRAVO!! |

Overall my stay was excellent; but pre-ops PLEASE BE AWARE AND FAMILIAR with what you can and cannot have as a post-op. I was given a sugar-filled popsicle when asked for a popsicle, and it was up to ME to tell the nurses that what they gave me was full of sugar and not sugar-free.
Another drawback was that I could not dial out of the hospital on the phone and could not reach my cell phone, but that really wasn't a big deal because I didn't feel like talking to alot of people anyway.
Other than that, everything was fine. I would go to Little Company again if I needed to. |

Fortunately, I've had relatively good health and the last time I was hospitalized was when I had a C-section 8 years ago. I really can't compare Little Company to others, however, I had excellent care there. |

I couldn't have received better care. The staff are especially sensitive to our special needs. I was very comfortable and the nursing staff were great (especially Donna, Chandra and Kim). I was so comfortable with them that even when I had a bowel movement and couldn't bend/reach to take care of my personal hygiene, they made me feel like it was no big deal. I on the other hand thought I was going to die from embarassment. They were there whenever I needed them. |

The only problems I had with the hospital was not being able to call home because of a free 8 mile call distance, and I am approximately 12 miles away. And there was slight attitude when I received calls too. But that was not in the nurse area, it was the receptionist. |

I had a different nurse and care provider every 6 hours and surprisingly enough they were all very professional and showed compassion. It was an excellent experience. |
