Overall Value: Good Oversized Equipped: Good Oversized Sensitive: Good
Multi Security: Good Privacy: Good Pain Medication: Excellent
Quiet: Poor Visiting: Excellent Staff Responsive: Good
Parking: Average
How Selected: This is where my surgeon only does the surgery.
Competitors: MCG has been better than many of the other ones I've been to in the area. I was very disappointed with Doctor's hospital.
Comments: Dr. Martindale above all is excellent. They need better climate control in the room. Some of the nursing and other doctors need better education on the gastric bypass as well as bed side manner. I was concerned that some of the nurses didn't even wear gloves. Which I did get C. difficile while I was in there. I wonder if it's something I got from the staff that didn't. I had a very excellent nurse named Janice. She was very nice and helpful the whole time.

Multi Security: Excellent Privacy: Excellent Pain Medication: Poor

How Selected: This was the one that my surgeon is affiliated with and only one.
Comments: I think that the nurses where wonderful for the most part, I did have some minor issues. It would have been nice if the residences and nurses where more knowlegable about Gastric Bypass. I think that would have not caused as many problems. The students that came around where great. My surgeon is certainly the best over all. The student nurses where wonderful.

How Selected: It was the only hospital my surgeon used.
Competitors: I don't feel that I got the level of service that I've received at other hospitals. I know there is a shortage of nurses, and I was very thankful I had a family member staying with me 24 hours a day.
Comments: The Medical College of Georgia is a learning institute, and you must keep that in mind the entire you are being treated. Although I paid for the surgery myself, up front, I was treated like any other patient in the hospital. I was willing to deal with that to get the surgeon I had. But on a more positive note, I felt like I was in an excellent hospital with the best physicians anywhere.

How Selected: It was where I was referred by my PCM.
Competitors: As with other hospitals in the past (military) I did not have any post op infections. I thought it was a wonderful hospital with a great staff.
