How Selected: IT IS THE HOSPITAL THAT DR SASS DOES THE SURGERIES AT

Comments: MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IS A VERY NICE FACILITY. I HAVE HAD OTHRER PROCEDERS THERE WITH GREAT SUCCESS THE STAFF IS ALSO VERY NICE.

How Selected: Insurance
Competitors: Has to be be the best hospital in the Tri State(Tn/AL/Ga) area.
Comments: Ive never experienced a hospital that was as top notched as this one was. Every aspect of the care from pre surgery testing till the day i left the hospital was 2nd to none!! Memorial Hospital I would highly recommend to anyone.

How Selected: My Dr. chose and they are in my health coverage network.
Competitors: I have never been in a hospital but one other time in the last 25 years but, the treatment and the attitude of everyone was so good that I felt very comfortable from the time I went into pre-op till I checked out.
Comments: Everyone at Memorial Hospital treated both me and my wife so good. She stayed with me both nights I was there and they made her feel as comfortable as possible. I am very pleased that I had my procedure there and would recommend Memorial to anyone considering this or any other procedure.

Comments: My night shift nurse was wonderful and all the night staff were really help and encouraging....my morning nurse...I don't think she had her coffee that morning....

How Selected: I knew that Dr. Ponce was the doctor for me. This was the hospital in my insurance network. I could not have choosen a better hospital if I tried.
Competitors: Memorial hospital exceeded my expectations. I have had 4 children and a few trips to the emergency room. So as far as hospitals go, I have had a lot of experience. I rate Memorial Hospital top notch.
Comments: Memorial Hospital is effecient, organized, clean, well-managed, state-of-the-art. I can't say enough good things about it.

How Selected: I have used this hospital in the past and have alway had excellent care. I have used the others in town, and I feel more comfortable here.
Competitors: It is a cleaner, more restful atmosphere. Plus it is a christian hospital which gives me a since of peace.

How Selected: my family dr. told me about dr. ponce.chatt mem hospital was yhe nearest to me.
Competitors: better than all that i have been in.
Comments: the nurses were execellent.dr. ponce is just the most wonderful dr. in the world

How Selected: This is where my surgeon performs the lap banding
Competitors: Not originally from TN so have no other hospitals to compare with.
Comments: They are building new surgery suites, so right now it's a construction zone. That meant that the gurney was weaved in and around tight corners, things in the hallways, etc. Overall though, all was fine.

How Selected: Surgeon uses this hospital
Competitors: This hospital is 2hrs from my home, but seemed to be much more of a pleasant atmosphere than any of my local hospitals. Everyone was helpful and caring.

How Selected: Internet Research I learned about Gastric Band Institute from the Internet.
Competitors: Not being from Chattanooga, naturally I like my home town hospital better than Memorial. My local hospital serves fewer people.
Comments: I found the phase II recovery staff to be the best!! When I went to a private room, the staff were not as attentive.

How Selected: AT the time of scheduling my surgery, East Ridge Hospital decided not to take BCBS. Dr. Rutledge made arrangments to start doing some surgeries at Memorial for insurance purposes. I was Dr. Rutledges first surgery at Memorial.
Competitors: I feel I would have had better post op care at East Ridge Hosptial.
Comments: I preferr not to share my comments at this time. This is between myself and my Doctor.

How Selected: I am an employee of this facility. My insurance would not have paid for another facility since we offered this service.

Comments: Like I said, I work there. Brings uip privacy issues but basically was to my advantage.
