How Selected: My surgeon practices out of this hospital.
Competitors: I only have one other hospital to compare to and that is where I gave birth to two of my kids. I found this hospital stay much more comfortable and if I had to be hospitalized again I would probably choose this hospital.
Comments: The staff at this hospital was very friendly and nonjudgemental. I felt I was getting support from everyone from the transportation staff, to the CNA's, the nursing staff, the surgical staff. I would recommend this hospital.

How Selected: It was close and where my surgeon does her surgeries.
Competitors: Mercy SJ was about like the rest.
Comments: I didn't have much pain and didn't want or need pain meds, but they insisted on adding another thing of morphine when I still had 9cc's left. I never used the new one, but they charged me for it anyways. Everyhing else was great.

How Selected: This Hospital is part of The Center Of Exellence for Blue Cross.
Competitors: I think this hospital went above and beyond during my stay. I had no problems or issues with them. Staff was very understanding and supportive and most important encouraging.

How Selected: My insurance carrier and surgeon reccommended this facility.
Competitors: Ver attentive and familiar with gastric bypass post-op recovery.
Comments: A wonderful facility. I had immediate attention, my own private room and everyone was wonderful!!

Comments: The staff was great, I got a private room after surgery, my nurse had the surgery and was a great support system for me. I had plenty of pain meds. I had a great experience.

How Selected: It was selected for me through my insurance and the Woodland clinic.
Competitors: This was my first hospital stay ever. I'm glad that I had such a positive experience my first time.

Comments: The hospital was clean and the nursing staff was great. Friendly, accomodating and attentive. Absolutely no complaints.

Comments: Had excellant nursing care, with the exception of one CNA who asked really dumb questions and didn't seem to know much about my diet or aftercare.

How Selected: This was the hospital used by my surgeon, Dr. Laura Machado.
Competitors: No basis on which to compare it. This was my first hospital stay of any kind.
Comments: Very attentive staff--maybe perhaps too attentive (the visits in the night to get my "vitals", though I suppose that is necessary?).

Competitors: As good as other hospitals
Comments: The only problem I noticed was my room location was right next to some sort of supply closet and a stairway. People were in and out of both those doors all day and night.
