How Selected: It's the hospital where my surgeon operates. He is great but the hospital not so much.
Competitors: Below average. But the surgeon was on top of things and kept me happy. I just don't think that he should have had to do that.
Comments: A few great nurses but a lot of not so great ones out weigh the good ones. I trust the Dr. He will supervise you very closely and make sure that your safe and comfortable.

How Selected: This was the hospital my surgeon performed my procedure. Didn't have much choice.
Competitors: Haven't been to other hospitals.
Comments: Surgical staff was fantastic. Day nurses were fantastic. However, the night staff was horrible. Waiting 2 hours after calling nurse before someone came, if anyone came. Just barging in and flipping on all the lights at 1 in the morning for stats and not quietly waking you up. I dreaded the nurse shift change to night because I knew they would take forever to come if I needed them.

Comments: I wish I could have put "excellent" for the staff responsiveness because MOST of the nurses I had were AWESOME. There were a couple that need to not be nurses any more. They were slow, rude, and inept. Both of them were midnight nurses I had to deal with during my stay. My other midnight nurse and all the day times ones ROCKED!

Competitors: Fair, I feel that is imperrative to have an intelligent family member there to question and assist in information when the patient is heavily medicated.
Comments: I was disappointed, the staff was generally unresponsive. (Some were superb while others did not seem to care at all). I am glad my son/his wife stayed with me at all times, things happened during my stay that I could not respond to. My son quickly responded and questioned medication and actions being taken.
