Overall Value: Poor Oversized Equipped: Poor Oversized Sensitive: Average
Multi Security: Good Privacy: Average Pain Medication: Very Poor
Quiet: Average Visiting: Excellent Staff Responsive: Poor
Parking: Good
How Selected: Dr. Gagner is there
Comments: I was very dissapointed, not in Dr. G. or the OR staff. But the nursing staff one was awful. My 2nd day out of surgery I was left without any pain meds for 9 hours! the 4 between doses and another 5 after that because they couldnt get a new IV started when my other one came out of the vein. No could "find a vein" althought the Night shirft came in and found one.. STRANGLY ENOUGH!

How Selected: This is where my surgeon works out of. No choice.
Competitors: The professional nursing staff was excellent. The ancillary staff was poor. Cigarette smoke outside the entry door actually rose up the elevator shaft. I watched s broken towel rack on the floor of my room for 3 days ("not my job"). The nutritionist came in for THIRTY SECONDS and spoke virtually NO ENGLISH. I did not observe ONE surgeon wash their hands before or after touching me. The food can't even be described, it is so vile. I had to hire private duty help for nights when my family could not be there.
Comments: I have been in nursing and hospital management for over 30 years and have NEVER seen such filth. I intend to speak to infection control and possibly the state. Shame on you, Mount Sinai.

How Selected: I've personally gone to this hospital for 10 years via my employment for my 2 year annual checkup. I was always treated with respect and great care. Never had the experience of being admitted there but chosed it because of the treatment there.. It does help that it has the most goregous view of our bay and ocean on Miami Beach..
Competitors: My surgery care was excellent. I was waited on hands and foot.. They catered to me on my every need.. The bad review, two weeks after my surgery. I had to go in via emergency and was treated horribly.. The emergency care was the worse care I have ever encountered in my entire life. I already advised my doctor if something should arise again (God willing no) I will meet him at another hospital he's attending..
Comments: I will never return to this hospital for emergency care!

How Selected: i chose it based on what i have seen as a patient who attends my pcp often. it has this nice south florida auroa to it. since it is so close to the ocean
Competitors: This hospital is top on my list compared to Jackson Memorial which is also a great hospital but i prefer one over the other. Mount Sinai has a better look and feel as aspose to jackson
