How Selected: doing research on the internet
Comments: I found this to be a wonderful hospital. Before and after surgery my contact with staff, doctors and nurses was a wonderful experience. I would highly reccommend this hospital, Dr. Gorecki and his highly trained personnel.

How Selected: i need a center of excellence for the purpose of insurance approval. this is one of the closes center of excellence hospital in my city.
Competitors: better than brookdale
Comments: the recovery nurses were wonderful. i did not like the way the nurses treated me after i was assigned to my room.

How Selected: My surgeon asked me to go to this hospital.
Comments: The hospital itself wasnt bad. It's just that the spanish nurses and assistants were horrible. They even made me cry on my last day becuase they refused to help me get my pain meds before I left. They were the worst!! Stay away from the 7th floor if possible!

How Selected: i put my faith in the luck of the draw! (that was the hospital available on the date i wanted to have the surgery.
Competitors: It is a small hospital with a fine tuned staff.
Comments: My experience at NYM was worth the trip over from NJ. I found the nurses were very compassionate and professional.

How Selected: My surgeon works out of that hospital!
Comments: It was my first experience in a hospital but i must admit, the place is beutiful. The rooms look like hotel rooms and the nurses were very nice. they always responded to my every need. If i had to do this surgery again i would do it here!

How Selected: This is the hospital that my surgeon is a part of, in addition I gave birth to my son Nicholas at this hospital and the staff were excellent.
Competitors: This hospital is much more modern and the equipment if state of the art and modern which can be a big plus for a complicated and sensitive sugery such as WLS.
Comments: I had a nice set of recovery room nurses that really helped me to be comfortable.

How Selected: I selected this hospital because my DR who was DR Gorecki was performing the surgery there .
Competitors: I work in a hospital and there was no comparison
Comments: I thought that this hospital was great. I was on the 8th floor which I thought was great coming from a nurse myself.

How Selected: It's the hospital where my dr is the chief of laposcopic surgery. Plus I've been going to this hospital all my life and it has a great reputation.
Competitors: The other hospitals around me are not as great as this one.
Comments: The nurses and the nurses techs were amazing!

How Selected: THROUGH OBESITY HELP.COM I FOUND DR GORRECKI AND THE HOSPITAL WAS VERY NICE.
Competitors: IT LOOKED CLEAN AND NICE COMPARED TO OTHER HOSPITALS.
Comments: WELL THE HOSPITAL WAS NICE AND CLEAN, MY SURGEON WAS THE BEST I THINK I COULDNT HAVE BEEN IN BETTER HANDS. AS FAR AS THE NURSES THEY WERE NOT VERY RESONSIBLE IN PAITENT CARE I CARE MAINLY FOR MYSELF A FEW OF THE NURSES WERE PRETTY GOOD BUT COULD BE BETTER. WITH DR GORECKI'S PREFORMANCE I COULD OVER LOOK THE SITUATION WITH THE NURSES.

How Selected: This was the only hospital my doctor was associated with.
Competitors: Pretty good
Comments: NY Methodist is the best by far. I especially loved the idea that I had my own room with its own toilet and shower.

Comments: I thought Brooklyn Methodist was VERY dirty. Also, some of the nurses in the RCU were downright nasty and totally insentitive to the patients.

How Selected: I lived in the area.
Competitors: I love Methodist, I have meet some great people there.
Comments: I like the hospital and plan on having my next child there. I have going to this hospital for a very long time and they have not failed me yet, and I don't think they will.
