| Word of mouth, a tour of other local hospitals to compare, and the reommendation from my insurance company. |

I definitely felt like the floor nurses were well versed in bypass care, and that the program is respected by the greated medical community at the hospital. The program is comprehensive, with their own psych and nutrition staff - which is a bonus!! |

| How Selected:
| A friend recommended it since her surgery was there. I did not have the same experience as her. the first day was horrible as far a nursing staff attitude. They were very busy and snippy. I was not a difficult patient. But whenever I wanted to get out of the bed I had to beep the nurse because they are the only ones that can let you out. I would not recommend those gastric bypass beds they only make you a prisoner of the bed with no freedom to get up and around without the help of a nurse. |

I have only been to one other hospital for surgery and that was Memorial in Worcester and they were wonderful |

Average rating only. I was very disappointed in the care I received from 1 nurse and 2 PCA's during my first 24 hours. Starting day 2 I was so happy to get some wonderful nurses. The nurses make your stay and if they are too busy for you than you will not have a good hospital stay. I didn't have a great experience with this hospital so I don't know if I would ever chose to go back here if I had a choice. |

I feel that of all the hospitals in the area this one was one of the best. The care was wonderful. The nurses were great. Everything was quite nice. |

| I had my baby there about year ago and I loved the hospital already. I went to a meeting to meet the weightloss surgery people and they were excellent so I knew then it was the riight place for me. |

I would recommend this compared to some of the other larger hospitals in the area. They have an excellent reputation and deal with obeses patients all the time. |

I can not say enough. We have an excellent relationship w/ all except on doc in the ped. dept who was a res. from another locaiton and one plastics. **would strongly recomend this over any are hospital. Oh parking is an issue but they are working on it. |

I only had one problem with one night nurse and I chalk that up to inexperience on her part. Her intentions were good. Otherwise I was more than impressed with the effciency and care this NWH provided |
