How Selected: I had two choices of a hospital. I chose the one closest to my home.
Competitors: This hospital seems very old. Rooms and some equipment need updated.
Comments: The staff that cared for me after I left recovery (which I stayed there for about 24 hours) was not very knowledgeable about bariatric surgery. I had many questions they could not answer.

How Selected: My Dr. selected it
Competitors: Better than Kennestone, but that is not saying much.
Comments: Disappointed as the hospital pharmacy did not stock the pain meds the Dr. had planned on using and requested for the pain pump. Intensive Care was a nightmare. I asked the nurse in IC to help me move more upright and she said "I can't help lift you as my back hurts". She also would not help me get my urinal when the cathetar was taken out. I was in alot of pain due to the nurses trying to read the directions on how to set up the pain pump. The nurses on the floor were great, just don't get put in ICU. As with all hospitals "DO NOT ATTEMPT TO STAY THERE WITHOUT A FAMILY MEMBER" as you will be forgotten.

How Selected: I live in Canton and I've used this hospital before for outpatient surgery and was pleased with their services, so I wanted my surgery here verses having it at Kennestone hospital, as this hospital is close to my home.
Competitors: I really like this hospital best, it's convient to my home, and with my husbands hours of work, it's convient for him to visit me and still get home in a reasonable hour, plus you don't have to pay to park here like at all the other hospitals!
Comments: Everyone at the hospital was just wonderful. I was very blessed with a great team of nurses and support during my 3 day stay. One nurse, Lisa was just a true blessing! She helped me so very much after surgery and even measured my food for me so I wouldn't over eat after my surgery! This hospital has come a long way, and has improved so much, they were a good hospital before but now they are great!
