I had a pleasant stay. All shifts were there to meet my every need. I would recommend this hospital to anyone. Outside of the limited parking, this place was awesome!! |

I've never been in the hospital before so it was fine. |

The light blew in the bathroom, in the middle of the night, it wasn't repaired until after 7pm the following day. I had told the nurses on both shifts, Maint. had left for the day and had to come back and repair it, it took over an hour. I was worried since I no longer had my bag, and I still had the G-tube and my drain. |

I am not familiar with other hospitals in the area as I live 2 1/2 hours away. |

My overall experience was good. However, I was very unimpressed with the night staff. I asked to go for a walk and two hours later they came and I went for a walk. I was stuck in the chair for those two hours. I was not happy. I understand they are busy but that really upset me. The day shift was great! |

the stay that i had was very good. i was in no position to have much need but they were their when they said they would be. |

The hospital staff was helpful. The only "bump" was the floor I was on seemed understaffed at night. The reason why I say this is because I slipped down in the bed and could not get up or get help for awhile. Another time I rang the nurse and she said she was coming. After waiting an hour I rang again and I was told I would have to wait longer because they were changing shifts. Both anesthesiologists were wonderful. The first time I was not sick in recovery. The nurses in recovery get only a glowing report from me. |

I believe that overall the satff was very good, there was just one female on the night staff that answered the call bell, that I wanted laying in the bed instead of me. Both times I called she NEVER gave the nurse the call. I called back the 2nd time 1/2 hr laster and another voice answered and the nurse was in my room with pain meds within 5 minutes. I didn't get her name, but I complained about her to the bariatric coordinator, and I only hope that someday, she is in the hospital & is in pain and understands what it's like to be ignored. I believe that will be the only way she will learn!!! |

I felt it was wonderful. The Nurses and Administartive staff were wonderful at making me feel welcome and relaxed. They were always available to answer questions, were proactive with my pain needs and supportive of my recovery. |

This is a wonderful facility that i would reccommend to anyone in the Central Florida Area for their Gastric Bypass Procedure. The Staff is excellent, efficient, and caring. The Hospital was prepard for my arrival and made me comfortable and welcome the entire time. I never felt like a patient, but more like a family member becing cared for by close friends and family. If you go ask for Wendy, Leslie, or Jean. |

The staff anticipated my every need. I never had to use the nurse call system for anything. I was well cared for, they checked on me regularly and the entire staff was completely attentive to my needs. I highly recommend Kelli Potenza, RN, Bariatric Coordinator and the entire ORMC Bariatric team! |

The only negative thing I have to say is that the anesthesiologist did not know how to communicate with the patients. I was already worried about surgery and he comes in to tell me "You are obese and don't hold your oxygen well so you can stroke, have a heart attack, or die on the table" That is not what you want to hear right before surgery. I know I'm obese, that is why I chose to have the surgery!! |

I had (2) nurses (Linda) and a student that were absolutely horrible, but ALL of the other nurses were wonderful. Especially Jessica was the best!!! This nurse Linda and the trainee she had with her were very unprofessional. She was definitely sure of herself and gave me no confidence that she knew what she was doing, as well as the student she was training. She wiped my arm with a papertowel after taking my blood sugar, who sanitary is that. She actually acted like she did not know what to do. I went to the Dr today and she had left a suture in when she removed my drain, that he had to go in and remove.
My room was not cleaned one single time from Tues-Thur. wife ask them to clean and Kelli was going to find out why. Kelli was excellent as well!!! |

The staff was much more attentive to patients than at otherhospitals I have gone to. Everyone even the cleaning staff was friendly and warm. |

Ocala RMC is set up to work with Dr. Jawad and his needs. They are only a few short miles from his office and very easy to find! The staff was there to help me with anything I needed. |

I have not been a patient at many hospitals overnight. The staff was nice and helpful they had me up and walking around the floor within about 18 hours of my surgery. They ensured that I did not have to ask for much and if I did ask for anything they acted with a sense of urgency. |
