| It is where my doctor performs his surgeries. So it was kinda selected for me and I am very grateful for that because of great stay I had while I was there. |

I tend to like this hospital more than Cooper Hospital because they seem to care more about you and your needs. The staff has excellent bedside manners. |

One of the most comfortable stays I have ever had. The nurses took me through a orientation that was very informative and relaxing before the surgery. |

it was a good visit. The first night wasn't all that good. The first nurse I had seemed as if she didn't know what she was doing. I ended up with another nurse, and the rest of the time I spent there was good. |

in comparison to Cooper Medical Center [UMDNJ] it was a really horrible experience! I am a regular patient at Cooper and did my nursing training at Lourdes. I can't believe how insensitive the staff was and how dirty the place is! |

I think my bad experience with this hospital had a lot to do with the length of time it took me to heal emotionally. I'm much, much better the farther in the distance the experience seems. |

I cannot compare that. I have never stayed in any other hospital. |

Everything was ok with the hospital. The only complaint that I have is that some of the overnight nurses were not very attentative with my pain medication. I acutally had an asian woman yell at me because I was very upset with the pain I was in. I feel as if they should be more on top of the pain meds and how you feel. |

It was not a bad one but the hospital needs to improve thier help. |

I enjoued every nurse and they were all friendly except for one that we nicknamed the nurse from hades. She would give you a hard time about pain meds and hated being asked for anything special even if it was just to help get out of bed. I had her 3 days and finally asked for a new nurse for my 4th day. She should be highly reprimanded for making it rough on a patient just because they chose to have surgery to correct their obesity. |

i dont know about other hospitals, i have only been to shriners in philadelphia, before they moved to their new location. their old location was small little old old building and it wasnt a normal hospital. |

it seemed that there was always an emergency, for them to handle, i didnt really get the attention i needed, i mean i didnt have any complications, but i always had to wait a LONG time to get a nurse or an aide to come in. |

The staff must be becoming more use to bariatric patients. They seem like they have a good routine going. I can honestly say I was very pleased. I've had 3 major surgeries, and this ranks number one. |

It was very clean,but the staff has too many patients. They are also very loud at night which is unfair to us trying to sleep. Waited long periods of time to get a nurse to come to the room. I was at Underwood Memorial this past year and did not experience these problems |

I was a patient from July 26-29,o4. I had the most caring,efficient,pleasant,on the ball nurses, I have ever met. They were always there when I needed them. If they couldn't make it right away they were very apologetic. They were very encouraging when it came to walking & sitting in chair. I just want to personlly thank Jeanne,Annamarie,Alysia. If I missed anyone, I apologize. Also I want to thank all the nurses aides,recovery nurses,even the enviromental workers. Every one went out of their way to make my stay as pleasant & comfortable for me. Everyone on the staff, on 6West I say THANK YOU Susan Venanzi |

The 1st night out of surgery I was not happy at all with the nurses. Well with an exception to Rich. He was a wonderful nurse and helped me a great deal the whole time I was there. I only had 2 nurses I did not like at all. But Rich, Joanne, Jean and Elissa were wonderful nurses! They did everything in their power to make me as comfortable as they could. I cannot complain about my stay at all. |

The first two days the staff was great. On the third and fourth days, R.N. Debbie worked a 12 hour shift from morning to night. She did not respond to frequent alarms coming from IV machine. Day 3 I waited 28 minutes and told her about it. Day 4 I waited 45 minutes and told her I would not tolerate it again. Later on day 4, the alarm beeped for an hour before I ripped out the IV, called my spouse to pick me up at the bus stop out front, got dressed, and stormed out. |

I had great nurses from Edie in recovery to Claire, Jean, Janine and jen. But look out for a nurse named Tammy she was my nurse on the 3rd day.She would not come to my room for 1 1/2hrs no one could find her she did not want to give any pain med.She was not very nice or sympathetic at all.I had great night nurses also. |

Never been in the hospital for any length of time so I can't compare. |

The two nurses I had 1 day, 1 night shift were awesome. However, the floor was a bit noisy and on Monday morning I had to wait from 645 am to 730 for someone to help me out of bed to go to the bathroom. At times, it too entirely too long to come and assist you. |

The nursing staff is probably similar to most hospitals; there are a few unbelievable caring individuals that help you to maintain your sanity, while there are a large group of nurses which would walk over you if you were lying there in convulsions on the floor. |

unfortunately my room was placed directly across from the nurses break room, so I had a constant display of their fine dining. This is somewhat unfortunate while you cannot eat nor drink throughout your stay.
More significantly, I found that I could not sleep in the bed for any period of time without some sort of complication, and thus went sleepless for 3 days. Maybe this is normal. |

My biggest complaint was the amount of time it took the nurses to respond for pain meds and trips to the bathroom. |

Overall everything was ok I had a nurse that was 8wks post op she was great. my roomy was an elderly lady with altimers and she was a bit of a pain in the butt but in the end we were friends LOL |

All I know was the day shift that was on while I stayed there was terrible, the night shift was excellent. The day I left they had a different day shift on and they were as excellent as my night shift. I wish I had them my whole stay. If they were all like that this hospital would have had a much better rating from me. Thank you Vivian and your staff at night, you guys were my angels!!!! |

| It was my surgeon hospital. Fortunately this was my second hospital experience. I was originally scheduled for Cooper Medical in Camden but was switched to Our Lady of Lourdes and can not say enough about the wonderful staff. Surgery is stressful but the staff took away my fears and nervouness associated with surgery. I would highly recommend this hospital to everyone. |
