| I had a choice of three hospitals, Park Plaza was the closest to my surgeons office. |

When I was at St Lukes, the care was outstanding. Even though it was crowded with evacuees from Hurricane Katrina. |

I would not use them again. On an individual basis, some of the nurses were very good. Overall, I really believe that the staff needs improvement. |

| This hospital was apart of the "package" that was provided by my surgeon. I do have confidence in my surgeon, but this facility is very poor in carrying out his plans and orders. |

As nurses and healthcare providers, I felt that their desire to care and be an advicate in my favor was extremely unacceptable. There was one nurse that had absolutely no sense of caring and I even ended up in a fight with her. |

HAVE BEEN THERE ALOT OF TIMES FOR SEVERAL OPERATIONS. AND IT IS THE BEST. I HAVE NEVER HAD A COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS HOSP. EVEN THE FOOD IS OK. EVERYONE IS SO NICE AND IS REALLY GOOD AT GIVING YOU THE BEST CARE AVAILABLE. |

Everyone at this hospital made me feel so comfortable. I had to stay overnight and my room was a suite, they even accomaded my boyfriend for the overnight stay. |

The only problem I had, and it might not be their fault, was a severe staph infection 4days after surgery, but Dr. S. got it taken care of quickly and efficiently. |

I have been in 2 other Hospitals. It is a very good hospital. It out shines the others I have been in. |

Park Plaza was a wonderful Hospital, everyone there was pleasant and helpful.
From my pre-op procedures, thru surgery, recovery, & my 3 day stay in my room. I would recommend it to anyone. |

The staff is wonderful, all the way from the admitting crew to the food service and room service people. Regina and Matthew made what I thought would be a miserable stay wonderful. They were caring and just super great. Everyone was wonderful. They were very accomodating to my mom and husband. Although, the sleeping arrangements were not optimum for my 70 yr old mother. They have a window seat that doubles as an extra bed and apparently it isnt that comfy (according to my mom). Other than that it was a great stay. |

The only problem i saw was with the parking it cost 40 just to park for our 4 day stay. But I can live with that as the staff at the hospital were excellent. |

Very clean, wonderful staff, very accomodating to WLS patients |

I can not say enough good things about my hospital stay. Park Plaza has a bariatric wing specifically for WLS patients. The staff is extrememly responsive and well trained to handle any questions you might throw at them. I felt very at home during my stay. I would recommend it to anyone going through this type of procedure. |

| brother in law had been there previously and he was treated great there and my dr used the hospital as one of the hospitals he used and i knew i would be taken care of very well. |

I didn't like the fact that parking was $8.00/day for my husband who stayed with me.
Also, I didn't like that there were (supposedly)no Anesthesiologists there at night?? That's what the nurse on duty told me. My original IV was done by an Anesthesiologist before my surgery and he numbed it with Lidocaine first so I didn't feel the IV being put in. However, my IV blew out one night around 11 and the nurse on duty said it would have to be redone and there was NO ONE there to numb it. She had to call a nurse up from ICU to redo it because she didn't feel comfortable. She said there were no anesthesiologists there after 9 pm. I was fuming! What about women in labor at night who need epidurals? Or a patient staying in the hospital who needs emergency surgery in the night? There had to be an anesthesiolgist there, but I was told by 2 nurses that there wasn't and my IV line had to be redone and pretty much, "tough" about it hurting...... |

The nursing staff were really good and attentive. I hated the bed, but this is a comment complaint of everyone. These beds were air mattresses which seem like they would be better, but they were not. Plus they are very noisy. |

Lower than others. You don't serve chicken fried steak to a post-op bariatric patient on the second night and you should not give sugared items to a diabetic. |

The set-up is great. The floor design is circular, with the nurses station right in the center, and all the patient rooms coming off from that inner circle--basically noone is left at the end of a deserted hall, all rooms are directly in front of the nurses station--they called it 'pods' |

the staff was great, the floor design exceptional for patient care. i have had several surgeries, and this was the best hospital setting I have seen. |

The only category I rated low was parking. I feel if you are a patron of their establishment you should not have to pay for parking. The hospital would cease to exist without the patients and their families. |

They were very quick in response to my pages, always coming in to make sure that I was okay and as if I needed anything, made sure I stayed pain free, were very respectful and helpful with with everything I needed assistance in. |
