Comments: I liked the hospital overall. It was just the little things like the nurses' attitudes, and the CAs had attitudes as well. One night a pressed the button for help out of bed and no one came for twenty minutes. The lady that was just getting on shift asked them why they were still sitting at the desk instead of helping me, I could've fallen and broken something and no one would know. That's what she told me and that's what she said she told them. My favorite CA was "Giggles". I was also supposed to be on a list for a Private Room and they didn't even do the paperwork or put me on the list. They added me when I went into the hospital...like it mattered then. I shared a room, needless to say. But she and I got along fine. So if you have to go to PRMC, I suggest you make sure all your paperwork is done.

How Selected: My doctor is the Director of Bariatrics at PRMC.
Competitors: My only other recent experience is with AAMC in Annapolis. AAMC does not have a bariatric program, but I would say that PRMC exceeds in 'caring'
Comments: There are so many comments made lately about the shortage of nurses and the lack of care when you are in the hospital, that I went into PRMC with no expectations. I found the nursing staff to be very attentive and caring for my needs. My husband was there with me as much as visiting hours allowed, and supplemented the nursing care.

Competitors: they're all about the same BUT WINCHESTER MEDICAL CENTER IN VIRGINIA GETS THE HIGH MARKS ...FROM THE LOCALS.
Comments: NO ONE WOULD HELP ME BATHE,NEVER WOULD HELP ME WASH MY HAIR, I DID IT MYSELF IN THE SINK WITH A CUP IT RELLY HURT TO LEAN OVER THE SINK... MANY PIECES OF EQUIPMENT WERE NOT IN WORKING ORDER WHEN THEY WERE BROUGHT INTO MY ROOM. most of the nurses were cold and matter of fact some even rude.

How Selected: This is the hospital my surgeon is affiliated with.
Competitors: I cannot rate this hospital with other local hospitals as it is 1 &1/2 hours from me. However, comparing it to the other six that I have been in, I felt the staff and the facitlity was more than capable of handling and situation that may have arrised.
Comments: I would recommend PRMC to anyone who is seeking any type of treatment. I was very impressed with the way I was treated; as a person (not a case). From my first contact each person was friendly, helpful and acted as if it was their job to make sure that everything went as smoothly and as pleasantly for me as possible while I was there for whatever reason (testing, day-procedure, surgery, complication and recovery). An excellent facility!!!
