How Selected: This hospital was offered as a first choice based on available dates for surgery. I agreed to utilize this hospital based on the fact that I wanted a quicker surgery date.
Competitors: I have not been living here long enough to be familiar with the local hospitals.
Comments: The hospital stay itself was acceptable. It was the staff that left a bad impression. It was more then apparent that they were understaffed during my particular visit. With this being said I had a nurse tell me she was the only one working and for me not to call her for assistance. I had another nurse attempt to offer me a soda, completely oblivious to the fact that I just had WLS and sugar is not something I should be consuming. Overall my wait for a nurse after calling them via the call button took up to 20 and 30 minutes which I found unacceptable.

How Selected: Dr. Pearce, gave me a choice between Edmond Memorial Hospital, and getting a stalf infection there yrs ago, I chose Phys. hospital. I got better care from Edmond.
Competitors: There's no comparing, This hospital is on the bottom of the my list. my room was hot the whole time I was there. The TV didn't work. The staff was helpful, but would forget that I'm there. and forget get the simplest things. Music at night the room was to hot to close the door.
Comments: 1st, when you go into a hospital you don't want to think about money, but that's the first thing they ask for. Then, The room was so hot I got an infection. I had to keep asking for things that should be automatic in having in the room. my list can go on and on.

How Selected: My doctor does surgeries here
Competitors: better overall than any other hospital
Comments: The only complaint i have is that the day nurse Kim was not nice at all and the aids during the day shift sucked at best. The night nurses and staff were all awesome. I loved the nights. They were right there when I needed them and treated me respectfully unlike the day nurse Kim who was rude and unkind. They left me in bed with no bed control, no call light, and my pca pump button was not within reach. When i started yelling for help because i had no other choice she came in and bitched me out and told me i would not get any pain meds till I calmed down.. After i was out of the hospital the hospital called with their own survey and i told them what happened and hopefully she was reprimanded. It really pissed me off but that was the only bad experience i had with the hospital. It was really great otherwise
