I think PCMH tries but some areas still need work. I think every hospital has the some of the same problems |

My stay was overall ok but I will say that the daytime staff was extremely inattentive and twice I had major problems getting them to help me. It became quite an issue. If my family had not been there to help me I do not know how things would have worked. I think response to patients should be looked at by the daytime staff. Otherwise it was a positive experience. |

| It was close and the bariatric surgery department has earned a Center of Excellence title. |

My stay was probably as pleasant as it could be, given the circumstances. The nurses were wonderful, with one exception-- and she was promptly disciplined and removed from the unit. That made me feel even better about the staff-- seeing first-hand that they want nothing but the best treatment for their patients. |

Overall I had great nurses until the day I was checking out. I got a recent nursing graduate and she was HORRIBLE. My mom who is a nurse (23 years) had to pull rank and tell the girl off. |

My only comments were related to the post op patient room. It was near the helipad and was either extremely cold or too hot. A little noisy, seemed like a med helicopter was landing every 30 minutes. The room was also near the boiler room so unless you set the thermostat to 60 degrees, it was extremely hot. |

| This hospital is the one I was referred to, but I believe it is one of the best in the country. I have not had my surgery yet, so I can't answer some of the questions...but I am sure once I have it they will all be "excellent reviews" |

The nurses were wonderful and came to my needs very quickly. One nurse even walked around with me at 2:00 in the morning because my back was hurting really bad and I needed to get out of the bed. My experience with PCMH was very very very good. |

I think this is a great hospital! The nursing staff and other staff which I came in contact with were excellent and always very helpful and kind! This hospital experience was equal to my experiences at Wake Medical and Rex Hospital. |

My whole experience with Pitt Memorial was great except after surgery they kept me in recovery for 12 hours. It was not due to my health, it was because they could not find me a bed. What was so bad is that everybody from recovery was there. The nurses were loud. A man that was just involve in a accident was put right beside me. they have not gave him any medicine yet. He was just yelling and screaming for a long time. when you are in pain yourself, you just want some peace. |

I have had really great experiences at PCMH. My only "complaint" is that when I was admitted for a separate medical issue, the staff outside of bariatrics didn't seem to be as familiar with the needs of post-op patients as I thought they would. I was early in my post-op experience, and I had a lot of trouble getting food that was appropriate and with getting the care providers to understand that I couldn't take certain medications or that I couldn't take them quickly. It became a bit frustrating in a couple of situations. |

This hospital, by far, has higher standards and stays abreast of the latest technology. They are always doing something to better the facilities. This hospital is growing by leaps and bounds and is the facility to go to if you live in the eastern part of the state. |

Staff was great, and took extra time out to care for my needs both physically and mentally. Very prepared to care for the special needs of the bariactric patient. Remodeling so parking was horrible. Very accomodating for my family and husband who stayed with me the entire time i was in the hospital. Highly recommend. |

I felt very well cared-for, from check-in to check-out. My nurses and assistants were very responsive, my room was clean and private, and everyone introduced themselves before taking care of me. I was very satisfied with my care, and glad I chose Pitt. |

I had a great experience except the last day when there was a miscommunication between the nurse and the doctor- the doctor had released me around 11, but the nurse did not find out until about 4 so we sat around and waited for 5 hours and they had already cut off my phone so people kept trying to call me and were worried. |
