| It is the local hospital that my doctor does his surgeries at. It wasn't actually a choice but I would choose them again. |

The staff on the 3rd floor was more than awesome! I had the best experience I think that you can have considering the type of surgery I had. I never felt that I was a burden no matter how many times I asked the same questions or had to ask for help. It was a great experience. Most of all I liked Rhonda and Daneesa (I think that is how you spell it). Oh and there was LeAnn who was awesome as well. They talked to me like a "normal" person and not an overweight patient. They made me feel so comfortable!!! |

I think this hospital is above and beyond any hospital I've ever been in. |

I think highly of the staff URHCS. I have been in the hospital there for several procedures and stays at this point and they have always given me the best care of any hospital I have ever been in. |

My only other experience is at a local Army hospital. I'd drive the hour back to United Regional in a heartbeat. |

The only part that of the hospital experience I would change was the process you have to go through to pre-admit. This took hours somewhere between 5-6 I have never gone through anything like it. |

I found most of the nurses were friendly but, there were some that did not go out of the way to offer assistance. The bathrooms are small considering it is a bariatric unit. The rooms could use some remodeling. |

The nursing staff was excellent. |

My one concern and aggravation was the student nurse. The regular nursing staff was fantastic, very caring, extremely helpful and prompt. The student nurse was not helpful at all, obtrusive, and had a poor bedside manner. She wheeled me out to my car and ran the wheelchair into a cart, banged my foot into the elevator, couldn't steer it straight, and ran over bumps like she was a NASCAR racer. I think the student nurses need to keep their hands off the patients until they learn how to treat patients tenderly after major surgery. |

The staff alone is INCREDIBLE. The bariatric staff is so wonderful and caring. I would almost do it again. But I like the comforts of home. Everyone was just wonderful. |

I don't know any of the others that are capable of this type of procedure. It was an excellent stay and had great people. |

I was very please with the whole stay. The surgery was very quick and well done. My stay was 2 days and i was taken care of by very professional and empathetic nurses. The staff were all very nice and helpful. I was always responded to quickly and they were very quick to help with any of my needs. They had both male and female nurses available on every shift so that there was no problems with feeling uneasy with some of the care that was needed. The facility was clean and nice. I had a single room and a full bathroom. I can not say enough about the staff of that area! They were excellent and i would highly recommend both Dr. Warnock and United Regional to anyone who is considering this surgery. Both took the best of care of me and it didn't stop when i left. I have numbers for the hospital nurses and for my doctor so that if i have any questions or problems they are more that happy to help!

The bariatric nurses are wonderful. My only complaint was that while in the recovery room, I was not asked if I was in pain until after they took the tube out. I could have at least done hand motions! |

They go beyond the call of duty and most of the staff has had the surgery themselves so they know exactly how to help you. They also treat the obess patient with dignity and respect. |

I have only been in my local hospital for a day surgery, but it was NOTHING compared to United Regional. This had to be the best hospital that I have ever stayed in. |

The hospital stay was fine. I was there only 2.5 days total. I chose "Average" for the restfully quiet response because as with all hospital stays, the staff does not let you sleep all night undisturbed. Also, patients rise at 5 am each morning to shower. If I went to sleep around 10 pm each night, I was also awakened at midnight, 2am, and 4 am for various tests or medications. Sleeping wasn't too great. |

| After researching things like infection rates in this and larger Dallas-area hospitals, I felt comfortable staying in Wichita Falls. Also, there is a whole wing devoted to Bariatric patients in the hospital with re-enforced plumbing, large beds and handicap access. |

The accomodations were very good and each Bariatric patient gets a private room. They were also very helpful in finding suitable chairs and things for my mother, who stayed with me and who is handicapped. The bathrooms were large and the hospital beds were specially made for larger patients. They have a booming business for bariatric patients and they treat them well. The nursing staff was fine, but did not usually go out of their way to do anything. They were courtious and helpful, but unless you were in distress, they left you pretty much alone. Some people would love this, others wouldn't. I was fine with it. They do not walk with patients, though, and there were a couple times I would have liked to have some physical support while walking. I'm sure if I would have asked, they would have gladly helped me. |

Not familiar with any others in Wichita Falls, but it appeared to be far better than the local hospitals in my area |

This was my first hospitalization since having my tonsils out 45 years ago. Needless to say, I was a bit nervous, but the staff at this hospital was absolutely fabulous and allayed all of my fears and concerns. |
