It's pretty far from my home and doesn't look like much from the outside but the only types of surgeries performed at Vista Hospital are bariatric so they know what to anticipate and how to handle. |

I have only had out-patient surg before, so I have never been in a hospital overnight. But I have been there with friends/family.
I thought it was great...very personalized. |

When you drive up..the neighborhood is not that great. But the hospital is nice and clean. The staff was excellent. Everyone from techs, to RN's. Not one complaint! |

I haven't had to visit a hospital in years. Considereing the last one was a military hospital, this one was just fine. |

I am not familiar with any other hospitals in the Dallas area so I can't comment about it except to say that compared to other hospitals it was calmer without all the busy activities of s full service hospital. It speciallizes in surgery only |

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and the facility. Raya, Carolyn and Kitty who attended to me were outstanding and I couldn't ask for any more than they provided. Raya was especially kind and caring. When I checked in Arthur, at the ER did my admitting interview and he was a gem. He has been a bariatric surgery recipient and told me what to expect. He was happy for me that I was going to experience the same procedure he had last year. |

The nursing staff is great. Everyone is very encouraging of your recovery and gives you pep talks. My only complaint was the male night nurse, he was not very personable. Everyone else was attentive and knew how to handle bariatric patients. |

I lucked out with this place. The staff is so caring and nice! It's not the newest facility in the world, but it's a clean and very attentive surgical center. One flaw? No wifi. =) |

Doesn't look like much on the outside. Even on the inside for that matter. When I first walked in I wondered to myself how it stayed in business. Very small and very quite. After my pre-op lab tests, I went looking around the city. When I came back, there was not 1 car in the parking lot, and no one was up front the registration. |

I would recommend this hospital to anyone. It was very quite, and very accomadating. My parents were able to stay with me both nights. |

Everyone from admissions to the nurse who escorted us down to go home was incredible. We felt compassion from the moment we arrived at the hospital. Before going for the surgery I read reviews from this website and did not know what to expect because of a few negative reviews. Needless to say, my family and I were totally satisfied.We were looking for Jaya(nurse) because she got so many rave remarks...but we never saw her...but the nurses we encountered were wonderful...Kristen, Al ,and several others...highly recommend having surgery here. |

AMAZING..... I would never have wanted this surgery at any other hospital then Vista Hospital. It is specifically for Bariatrics and its very comfortable! LOVED IT! |

Very personable......ask for JAYA...i'm not sure thats how you spell her name but look in the other reviews and you'll see her name all over! she is amazing and really does have a heart for her patients and want her patients to be healthy and comfortable!! :) When you get over the nausea, you'll LOVE the hospital! |

The staff that cared for me before, during and after the surgery was excellent. The anesthesiologist was wonderful and explained everything to me. When I told him that I didn't usually tolerate anesth well, he made sure to give me something that would help with nausea and vomitting. All went well.

The overnight stay was miserable I must say but it was free. The room only had 1 bed with an inflatable plastic matress and no pillows or quilts. They had told us that my husband could stay overnight with me but only provided him with a broken recliner. We were issued 2 towels and 2 wash cloths. I'm not really complaining but just stating the facts. It was sparse at best. No one came to check on us once we were shown to the room and no one picked up the meal trays once we were finished with the meals. |

I am certainly glad I have other choices in the area for a hospital because I would definately drive several miles out of my way not to use this one. |

I did not have a good experience, however the staff for the most part was very nice. This hospital is an older hospital and needs to be updated especially with the money they are collecting on the procedures that are performed. It was expremly frustrating to have to lift my legs up and hold them after surgery because the wheel chair did not have foot rests. I also was very concerned that the nurse I had kept pushing my pain pump after my surgery even though I did not need the medication. I was so doped up that I could not function. I would not ever go back to this facility. |

It's old and out of date aesthetically but it has what you need. The surgeons need a large lounge because one was using the patient waiting room for a lounge. That made a lot of family members uncomfortable. |

Even though the hospital is small and a bit older the facilties were very well kept up. But what makes this hospital so special is their staff. You won't ever find a better or more caring staff anywhere. I highly recommend them. |

Oh wow. Well, this is mostly a surgery center, so it's not like other hospitals. It was fantastic! You park right up close, the rooms are all private, you can spend the night before your surgery for free (with a family member/friend, too, who can also stay in your room during your stay as well!). Staff was very considerate. Many have had WLS themselves. |

I loved my stay at Vista Hospital. It was very private and comfortable. I can't say enough good things about this hospital. They feed your family, even have private rooms for them to sleep in. All of the staff was exceptional. If you have your surgery at Vista hopefully you will be lucky enough to have Jaya for you nurse..she is wonderful!! And look for Kitty she is a sweetie!! |

I was so comfortable having my surgery at Vista, and would highly recommend it to anyone. With all of the staff infection concerns that you hear about these days, it is very comforting and reassuring to be having your surgery at a hospital with no "sick" people. All of the procedures at Vista are elective, so you can rest easily there. The staff was amazing, and it was overall a great experience. |

This hospital is a surgical hospital and does mostly bariatric surgeries. I highly recommend it. |

As we live 2 hours away, they let us stay in a complimentary room the night before surgery. The entire staff that I was in contact with were very courteous to my needs. They are well informed on WLS and answered every question I had. The anesthelsiologist was A+. No complaints here about my experience. |

I have been in the hospital 2 other times since July. This was by far the best experience I had. The nursing staff went above and beyond for me and my family. It was just wonderful. |

Its a great hospital. The attention the staff gives to you is really what makes this hospital. |

Overall, it was a good experience. Going to this hospital they have a nutrition staff that talks with you and further educate you on about eating. They loaded me up with vitamins, liquid, chewable vitamins, and protein samples. After my surgery the nutritionist spoke with me (though I was doped up pretty bad). But I appreciate the education! The nurse and the CNA were friendly and helpful. So really though its basically a surgery hospital, they took good care of me. |
