How Selected:	The doctor was doing his surgery at this hospital. I had surgery in this hospital once before and thought it was an excelent hospital, small with excelent care.
Competitors:	It was the best as far as care, privacy, and respect of patients and their families.
Comments:	The worst part about this hospital is that it was purchased by the State shortly after I had my surgery there and it is no longer a privately funded hospital.

How Selected:	The surgeon is in affiliation with this hospital which is for bariatrics only.
Competitors:	No comparison -- I wish this hospital did more than just bariatrics.
Comments:	The staff was wonderful, I never felt like a fat person, I was treated with respect, kindness and dignity.

Competitors:	As good or better. One nurse to 2 patients. You can't ask for better.
Comments:	Th hospital was very clean, modern and spacious. I wish they had Internet access for the patients, but I was only there for a day, I guess that was really nothing to complain about. My husband was given free meals whenever he wanted them and he was welcomed with open arms.

How Selected:	The Vista Hospital is the nearest "Center of Excellence" hospital that accepts my insurance.
Competitors:	I feel this will be a great hospital to have my surgery because it is geared especially towards Biariatric Weight Loss Surgery. Also, it is fully equipped to handle the needs of overweight patients, along with it being fully equipped to handle any emergencies.
Comments:	Everyone that i have talked to regarding this hospital have givenit very high recomendations that have been geared towards the sensitivity of the staff and accomondatons as well. They have everything that is needed and geared toward biariatric patients.

How Selected:	Close to my home and knew others who had been there.
Comments:	Everything about the hospital was good, except I rate the nutritionist's help from there "Very Poor!"

How Selected:	It specializes solely in weight loss surgery and had a very good reputation.
Competitors:	Quieter, more accomodating staff, more personal attention.
Comments:	It was the best hospital experience I have ever had. Hands down.

Comments:	The nurses were just great, well organized. It was a great experience.

How Selected:	Found thru OH members & did further research
Competitors:	When compared to other hospitals in my area, there is no question Vista is superior to any I have been in.
Comments:	The level of care at this hospital is amazing. I feld well cared for and the response time of the staff was wonderful. My nurses alwayd responded quicky, efficiently, and with the greatest attitude. Everyone who works there seems to love their job and not one person ever left my room without asking "Is there anything else you need" from the resp. therapist to the dietician. Rooms are private and spacious and there was room for my husband and son to stay with me. Their meals were also provided so that they did not have to leave me. I felt so secure I told them both to go back to the motel and get a good night's sleep - something I would never do in any other hospital.

How Selected:	My Doctor and his staff transfered there.
Comments:	I had a wonderful experience at Vista Surgical Center. The staff was great and I was comfortable the time I was there. They also made sure to accomadate my husband and 3 children and Grandmother in law with complimentary meals while they were there. I was very pleased with the hospital and it`s staff and would recommend them to anyone.
